You should reread what you quoted. Trash talking is usually (in the case of a mmo) sending someone a tell after you kill or are killed calling them f**s and b****es and bragging about how you pwnt them or crying about how they hacked. We don’t tolerate that sort of thing. In the FPS world that would just apply to team and global chat during games which I doubt any of us will even use anyway. Typing in chat just gets you fragged, FPS 101.

Besides, that isn’t trash talking… that’s an inspirational piece of history, it should be studied by scholars, translated into poems and carved into stone tablets.

No, no, no no and sort of. Exploiting is like getting yourself stuck in a wall, crate or any situation where you can shoot at them and they can’t see you. Nade jumping can get you into situations like that but if it’s just used as a shortcut I don’t care. Not sure Brink will even have that, most games don’t.

thats an example, not a definition… is exploiting just taking advantage of map glitches?

Well I don’t know what crappy old shooters you’re playing but most of the games I play are pretty polished and there isn’t much in the way of exploits. Third party software, yeah but what other types of exploits are you referring to because map glitches on the only thing I’ve noticed recently. Our definition of hacking/exploiting isn’t revolutionary, if Splash deems it wrong and bannable on their official servers then so do we.

We aren’t the type of guild to press any and every advantage just to win. Fair fights are more fun. Spawn camping isn’t necessarily fair but it isn’t like it can be helped, sometimes teams just aren’t balanced and the only way to get any action is to push forward and everybody gets their share of sitting at both ends.

P.S. I’ve been posting too much, you guys are high maintenance. I’ll catch up on **** tomorrow.

Well it’s like porn. I believe the famous quote is, “I can’t define it, but I know it when I see it”. Exploits are so varied in so many games that’s it’s difficult to nail down a definition of it. Therefore, we usually deal with it on a case by case basis. For instance, in Age of Conan there was an exploit that let you run on water which mucked up combat situations in favor of the exploiter. The other combatant, who had run into the water to escape his assailant, would then be totally vulnerable and have no opportunity to fight back. As the charter says, we aim to beat people fair and square. So, in general, using a game mechanic in a way that was not intended and that gives you a distinct tactical advantage against your opponent would be a no no. But, again, you could come up with about a million nebulous examples that would totally negate my definition. As such, we can only really give examples of what we feel is NOT ok and hope that the gist of what we don’t allow gets across.

It’s easier on a game by game basis. When we hear of an exploit we don’t approve of we let the members know.

I don’t see what the problem is. People that don’t agree with the charter will not get accepted.
Same as every other clan/guild.
I believe the most common reason for clans to not accept or ban members is because they’re simply not good enough. You don’t see people whine about that, now do you?

A game is a good game, but what makes a game is the people playing the game. If you are playing with a ton of people you enjoy being around and hangin with then your gonna have fun no matter what… Its kinda like your group of guys you roll with that make you laugh at the stupidest **** in the world… You may not be doin the funnest thing in the world, but your group is what makes it soo much better…

We bring it to the whole community… We want to play a fun game and just get drunk and be laid back and roll bitches… We enjoy games as much as any other game does, but we aren’t here to nerd rage and get all butt hurt over a game. For some reason this works for us and we usually are rick rollin people more often then not.
