Mousemats

Hi,

I was wondering how many of you out there are using mousemats, and if so which one ?
I have a Logitech MX700 mouse but no mat … thinking of buying one.

Did it improve your aim ? :wink:

I use my desk. Lots more space and generally smoother and more responsive, for me at least. Besides, I’m only a casual ET player and have no real desire to spend more than $2 on a mouse pad.

no pad, just desk, opitcal anyway so it makes no diference, being without a mat is better

I’ve got an everglide giganta optical. I tried using my desk, but it doesn’t track quite as well.

It doesn’t so much improve my aim as prevent me from missing easy shots, causing me to tear my hair out and throw things at people.

I have a MX510 (logitech) and a qpad. The qpad-mad is soft cloth and good: http://www.qpad.se/english/english.html

MX500 on an icemat, hell of an improvement from cheapo pad or desk

MX700 and icemat! ( :banana: bob )

Works like a cute pai, just feels a bit more responsive / nicer than my desk :slight_smile:

Works really well, less friction makes moving the mouse a tiny bit easier.

It sucks when you get sand/grit between the mouse and the icemat though :frowning: SCREEEECH!

Hahah I hear that fledsbo. I always wonder what the scraping is sometimes… there’s nothing there!

Anyway I got an MX700 (it’s actually working) and a FUNC pad. w00t! Way better than the desk. 2 different surfaces for whatever your gaming needs/prefences. www.func.net

I have a black pad and black other thing… not some ugly blue and orange config thing happenin. :shiver:

My personal favorite is the qpad (logitech mx510), but i must say the surface1030 is a great pad also.

I use a Sun ‘The Network is the Computer’ mat and a Logitech optical nouse (doesn’t say on the bottom) :slight_smile:

black/black func 1030 in conjunction with a new (yes new!) MX300 with mouseskates.

Worth noting that i prefer the cord clip for the mousepad to a mouse bungy.

IMPORTANT! : If you are going to buy a func1030, buy one from www.alienware.co.uk, then go to their gear shop, then it’s under accessories. It may come with a lame alienware brand to it, but it’s the same as the normal func 1030 and will cost you like £20 less lol. Guess they aren’t normally selling them at too much of a markup then…

Argh mouseskates. Work ok for a while, but the second they start to wear you get horrible notchy movement as it sticks and catches on every spec of dust on your mat. Removing the bastards cleanly is next to impossible too, unless you have a bottle of meths or degreaser to hand.

i use the MS optical 5 button mouse… on the arm of my Sofa :slight_smile:
