Lower your DPI and up your sensitivity. Any DPI over 1000 is utterly ridiculous for FPS gaming.
Also, 68cm/360.

Lol, that was still enabled. Are there any other windows settings that should be changed, 'cause I’ve only been tweaking the config and nothing in windows?
Hmm im gunna try what Vert said (Lowering DPI, Upping in-game sense) Use that calculator thingy I’ve found settings which give me the same sens (DPI: 400, In-game: 4.25, cm/306: 27 (29 on calc))
Well that should help, but you may need to tweak your sensitivity as acceleration may have been the factor allowing you to play super low sense (128cm ).
Erm all other mouse settings should be tweaked in your mouse drivers that i can think of atm.
I can’t give you advice on some exact values you should use because we are all different in what suits us. I just suggest tweaking your settings to some reasonable values after doing research in threads like these: http://www.overclock.net/t/173255/cs-s-mouse-optimization-guide
Although they are pretty outdated, there is still alot of relevant information that you should take away, but you don’t have to follow them exactly like i ignore the DPI section as i like low dpi.
Just invest some time and don’t keep changing your settings every day… it takes time. You won’t ‘know’ you’ve hit the perfect settings overnight, what your aiming to do is build up “muscle memory” which is where your muscles start responding instinctively to situations in game.
I would ignore the calculator as it doesn’t take into account factors such as resolution, field of view, driver settings etc. Just take note of your cm/360 with a ruler then lower your dpi and then change your in game sensitivity and keep measuring with a ruler to get the same. Then you can be 100% sure
I’ve got it all the same (measured with a ruler aswell) and it comes to 27cm (like before) Had to bump up my in-game sense from 4.25 -> 4.259 though. Just need to wait for people to get on so I can actually test it!
Just change your mouse/mousepad/sensi every day and you will be a TAUSENDSASSER !!!
Sooo, here we go again…
Since my Cyber Snipa start to die I had to look for another gaming mouse and got myself… a Razer Deathadder.
I’m curious if anyone also uses this product? If so, could you be so kind of telling my your mouse values, so I have something to start with and I can go tweaking.
I’m also a bit unsure about the polling rate, it’s now at 500 Hz, but should I, as a gamer, lower, higher or keep it at the default setting. I read that highering it would result in more CPU use which I can’t really do since I have a poor CPU.
I also could use this adder at 3500 dpi, but is that really going to be worth it?
Maybe some extra info, I’ve got it paired with the Razer Vespula mouse pad.
Hey mate,
got the same mouse, but I’m using the Razer Goliathus mats with it. I’ve also have a horrible CPU, my computer is about 5-6 years old. But I’m using all it highest spects, you don’t really use that much more CPU that it will affect your gameplay totally. If you have problems with running a certain game it can give some more problems, but so far I don’t really have had any issues.
Ofcourse I also use it at 3500 dpi, it’s a little different from my last one, since i had it set with a dpi of about 5600 something.
My experience with it so far is pretty good, I’ve got it for a about a month, so future will tell if it was worth it’s money.
I think the question is who doesn’t use a deathadder! Almost everyone I know uses a deathadder lol. Being me I use a Cm Storm Xornet, dpi @500 and in-game sense @ 6.5. (It’s ~15cm/360, but I use a toggle sense for long range which makes it ~30cm/360)

What about your in game Quake Wars settings with it?
Windows multiplier?
In game sensitivity?
And the polling rate?
My polling rates at the mouse’ default (1000hz). This gives a 1ms (1x10^-3) response time, you can work yours out put doing 1/polling rate (so mine is 1/1000 which gives 1ms). No win accel either.
Yeh, the higher you can get your polling rate the better. I could explain why, but I’ve had enough physics/electronics this year.
Default settings for death adder. Never touched anything in my settings I don’t think. Only ingame sensitivity.
