Go tell that to every Quake pro. I’m sure they could use your insight to up their game.
Mouse acceleration at Dirty Bomb
First of all, that’s exaggerated, not all Quake players use accel. Second of all, mouse accel isn’t even remotely common among pros in most shooters. Third of all, this isn’t Quake.
19/20 of the pro Quake players use accel dude.
And no it isn’t Quake. That doesn’t make accel bad, how is that even relevant? It’s also uncommon because only Quake has actually done it well, accel in every other game has been awful and rightfully avoided.
A lot of people recommend to turn off accel but it became a vital part of aiming for me ever since my 1st game (CoD4) I got used to it and I just suck without it on sooooo yeah.
Its a matter of preference.
I didn’t use accel until this game and I noticed an immediate improvement because I could my lower my sens dramatically and still comfortably twitch, after the first 50 hours it was fine, and after 200 hours of accel I cant live without it. Its ultimately preference to each user, some may prefer it or not. Bashing and attacking people who use it makes no sense.
Playing with mouse acceleration. Scrubs pls.
I even custom modded Windows to turn of all traces of mouse acceleration (non-square resolutions lead to non square mouse movement translation).

Damn they should be paying you for your pro tips
Care to translate that for the non scientific community
I just play video games.
I linked you to 12 pro quake players with 10 of them using acceleration. Calling people scrubs for what obviously works is just silly, its ultimately preference but you should really try it before bashing something.
Obviously I did and went so far as to even adjust windows settings xD
Matter of fact, you simply won’t be able to be accurate past a point if you have artificial adjustments running. I spent a lot of time trying it all out back in BF3. Raised my accuracy to 25% (courtesy of battlelog)

Again, quake pros and my own experience say otherwise. This is just baseless arguing at this point. TL;DR use what works for you.
But it makes people using accel feel justified and superior because 10 of 12 of the top players in a completely different game according to that chart use varying amounts of accel.
Again, we’ve found what works for us, I greatly enjoy accel and its improved my low speed tracking because I can lower my sensitivity while maintaining my twitch ability. Not sure why you keep assuming things like WE somehow feel superior for using it, you guys were posting how accel isn’t good and we were simply posting our experiences and that also quake pros do use it, so its not just objectively worse. if you feel that lightning gun aiming in Quake is not like this games tracking then I’m not sure what else to say because they are extremely similar.

First of all those settings shouldn’t matter if a game utilises raw input properly. The old reg edit fix is for older - much older - games only. I do turn off enhanced pointer precision in mouse settings though.
Second of all acceleration is not ‘artificial’ no more than mouse input is to begin with.
Thirdly you said,
The funny part is that the acceleration I am personally using is exactly square.
No lol, we’re just using them as examples to counter your, “lol acceleration is bad and you can’t aim well with it”, naive point. You absolutely can, they prove that, most of the entire Quake community proves that.
It’s not really funny so much as sensible. Still, if you try to draw circles in paint, what do you get?
They get circles as long as they maintain a steady speed, and have the training to draw circles with a mouse to begin with.
Only things that will give you a hard time drawing circles is some form of aspect ratio missmatch (monitor or mouse or a combination) but with training this could very well be compensated. Or by using non sensical values for angle snapping.

Please don’t argue this.
Mouse accel is impractical, period.
It completely interferes and messes with your brains ability to learn and develop muscle memory when aiming. After long periods of time you can learn to play with mouse accel but without it, it’s way faster to learn and you are way more consistent.
