Most Noob freindly merc?

(blisteringOwlNest) #1

Nader and Rhino seem to get a lot of rubbish for being the classes that have a low skill floor. I personally believe Stoker to be the easiest merc to play, due to ammo station and molotov being two of the easiest to use abilties, with significant pay off. also has access to some of the best guns in the game (M4 and Timmik, and Stark is nothing to laugh at)

So what class do you think is the easiest to use effectivly?

Skyhammer, Fragger, Stoker. All have a pretty small learning curve but high skill cap.

It was Fragger for me, I dunno, cooking the grenades just came natural to me (not trying to sound like some self-entitled douche or anything)

Basically everyone in the game outside of Fletcher and Sparks can be easily picked up and played without knowing a specific style of play to have success. Point, shoot, use ability. Rhino is probably the very easiest to play and doesn’t have a high skill ceiling for most playstyles with him

Fletcher and Sparks aren’t incredibly tough but you don’t play them like you would most characters in DB or in any other game so you need to acquire that knowledge first before you will find a lot of consistent success with them.

Point, shoot,… (ability active 24/7) for Rhino. Those new rhinos walk, run, jump, sleep, eat and use the bathroom with minigun holsted lol.

BItch, i mean…Proxy…

Proxy is more like the worst beginner trap ever. All those beginners will learn to do is dumbly rush forward and lay a mine before dying, eventually racking up kills on other newbies. They’ll just grave into their memories more and more bad habits.

I always recommended Bushwhacker to newbies who needed an engineer, and I probably won’t stop yet. The guy has really cool guns and the turret is easy to use without really promoting dumb playstyles.

(blisteringOwlNest) #15

@Eox I agree, he was my first and he was a true gentleman.

(darlingClaymore) #16

Proxy, because shotgun and mines

Haha, they will also learn the fine art of the jumping shotgun!

Playing Redeye to his best potential is a bit more difficult than just pointing and shooting as well like Sparks and Fletcher.

Skyhammer and Aura are probably the most newb friendly mercs in the game imo though (go figure they’re the free mercs). Proxy, Nader, and Stoker are also fairly easy to play.
