Most entertaining frendily fire foobar?

Ok, so this mortarboy runs out of the rear axis spawnpoint, gets just clear of the roof and deploys, and drops a round…

… while 8 freshly spawned axis are squeezing out the door behind him. A medic and field op pause to feed said mortarboy. One paticularily bright and impatient fellow decides to remedy the problem by vaulting over the mortar.

fwoomp!

I hate stupid people.

I’ve had my machine-gun going, I’m in the middle of doing a 100 round burst at a shit load of allied soldiers going for the footbridge, one of my team mates feels the need to walk in front of my, when he could have easily taken half a second to step behind me… He got quite a few holes in him.

On rail gun, my friend and I (axis) had brought the train all around the map and moved the second one to the rail gun. I get to the gun controls (we had a good number of allied people running about a min ago) and I climb up the ladder just after this medic. The medic is basically blocking me from getting into the gun controls and he clearly has no intention of pushing them himself, so I shoot the fuck in the head. As I’m about to step inside the tiny little compartment a fellow engineer walks up and squeezes in there before me. I give him a couple seconds, thinking he’ll do it for sure. After he gets into the compartment, he turns around to look at me. So I shoot him in the head. I then go up to the gun controls and press them without any slowing down or turning around and we win.

The engineer says “I was going to press the button”

and I say “Then why the fuck did you stop and look around and shit? It’s not that complicated a task.”

Based on evidence from the following map, Fuel Dump, I am almost positive he was not going to push the button due to the fact that he didn’t understand how to push the button.

“Build the command post!”
engineer runs down to the foot bridge to plant dynamite on it.

“BUILD THE FUCKING COMMAND POST I CAN DO THAT”

arms the dynamite and runs across the bridge towards allied spawn…

anyway…

In pub servers it’s not about skilled player’s skill, it’s about what team has the noob that gives the game.

It can be a stupid beach stripper in battery or a axis flamer inside the bank (god how those frighten me), but whatever the appaerance, their influence in the game outcome if far bigger than what any player can achieve just by skill.

We snuck 3 engies into the fuel dump before Axis got around to building up the gates. We’re all in a group as the engies start tossing out their dynomite. One of the guys didn’t wait for the pliers to come out before hitting the fire button, and out comes his rifle and he shoots off a grenade killing all of us.

I couldn’t stop laughing. This was in the last 2 minutes of the map and we were getting owned the entire time. Our last hope dashed by an over-anxious engie. Good lesson for all you engies to not run around with a rifle grenade loaded. =)

I’ve had to do that before. There needs to be a test people take or something before they can play. Damn stupid fucks.

I hate trigger happy A-holes too,

Like I run around the corner by tower in Railgun, and some trigger happy fuck mows his own team member down with the emplaced MG-42…

Its also quite funny to watch a medic stand over you when your waiting for a med, and watch him cycle through EVERYTHING. Only to be blown away by a panzer when he pulls out the needle…

And n00b flamers, i feel like screaming “STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!!”

People who run over your mines when they are moving forward. I mean, I can understand when you strafe into a teammates mine, but running forward, up a hill?

The complaint doesnt piss me off as much as the actual task of replanting a mine, cause im usually under fire.

B_D

Yeah, there are always mines in certain places (or should be), e.g. at the switch at railgun. But some bright players always have to play “Capture the flag” and run over them. And the engineer has to spent alot of time and energy (which could be more useful at another place) to replant the mine defences.

(Zan) #8

Anyway, a medic can pass over three mines in line and survive (my record. Maybe it can be done with 4 or 5).

I just pass to the front of the assault team when in mine zone, and my 10 second self healing are much better than the time to set them.
Unless some idiot noob gets too close to the medic, making him to get back to revive.

So use mines for objectives instead passing zones and less teammates will step on the flaggy powerups.

flaggy power-ups

LMAO

I’ve had a fueldump experience like the one mentioned earlier, but as Axis, believe it or not. Allies manage to break through and plant at the fuel dump. Everyone, of course, rushes to the back to take them out. I get there first (as an engineer) and manage to waste all the allies in the area in about 10 seconds. Which leaves me plenty of time to defuse…

Until a teammate somehow gets the idea (hallucinations, maybe?) that there are still allies back there, so he tosses multiple grenades at me while I’m in the middle of defusing. Kaboom. We lose.

What really bugs me is that on the next campaign, it happened AGAIN. Different person, same stupid mistake. We lose again. Huzzah.

The problem with public game servers is the public…
