The game requires a lot more recoil.Every weapon feels the same. Also sniper’s cross should move well you move.
more recoil
I disagree.
/threat
I mean, you don’t present any arguments at all for you opinion. This thread is worthless.
Well…
Higher recoil makes it harder to hit players.
And with the current system, some characters die abnormally fast, and some just won’t die. Sometimes I fire 8-15 bullets of an SMG into a “medium”-sized Char, and he dies with the 15th shot or so.
IF all players would die from 2-3 bullets most of the time, then you could think about making recoil higher.
But right now and if the system stays like that, it is a bad idea. (Sorry)
I disagree as many guns have their subtle nuances to them that make them feel different including different recoil. Some smgs have nearly no recoil but they also dont do much damage at all.
I think a better way to give each weapon more identity would be just to make them look more different - pretty much everything other than the shotguns and the aug are just covered in so many rails that that’s about all you see. Maybe it’s realistic that a bunch of mercs would have their guns like that but I’ve gotta say that when even an AK is barely recognisable something’s gone a bit wrong in the art design
those rails will hold the the add-ons that will personalize each weapon, they’re empty now, fill them and there ya go,
like this
edit: you might notice none of these will cause more damage
except the nade launcher, that puppy will F you up big time, but it’s a separate weapon
But this is a game, not real life. You don’t need the rails to be there before you put the attachments on, it’d look better and make it clearer what gun’s what without them. An AK should look like an AK, not a cluster of rails that makes it indistinguishable from any other assault rifle
Exactly, its a game. An ak doesnt have to look, act, respond like an ak. There doesnt need to be an ak at all it can be something totally different. The mp40 and thompson in the previous wolf titles didnt respond or play like their real life equivalent nor were they exact copies visually. They were just tools that fit in the game from a visual and gameplay standpoint, really it doesnt matter how they are cosmetically.
I’m not saying make it play exactly like an AK in real life would, I’m just saying make the guns look more distinct by getting rid of the rails covering the whole thing. Adding in more recoil to make them feel more different would be a terrible idea with the way the game’s played, so giving them a distinct look is a better way of making the weapons not all seem the same
Ok i see what youre saying.
Personally, it doesnt matter to me. I like how they are bc they have the distinct flair of the dirty bomb style of slightly exadurated details and dimensions.
Alright there’s a big a** elephant in this thread and I’ll be the one to reveal it then.
I think that a weaponry system such as in CS:GO would fit “well” (I guess it’s an option). For example: an AK47 hits harder both in recoil and damage, an M4 hits less hard but is more accurate and delivers less recoil.
Two things that concern me however. Firstly, I don’t think Dirty Bomb is trying to be the most realistic kid on the block. Battlefield and CS:GO are. Secondly, in basically every single shooter in the entire world (which is thousands and thousands of games) has the hard hitting AK, medium hitting M4 and so on. Should that really be something that Dirty Bomb has to be?
Then again, I haven’t experienced recoil management myself yet. I guess it’s quite easy: bigger weapon = more recoil. That’s basically what it comes down to and what would make sense.
actually IRL, the AK has very little recoil, I shoot a lot of the same round 7.62 x 39,
the 5.56 x 45 in the M4/AR hits harder, recoil I mean, the AKs bigger bullet does more damage
the lack of recoil in the AK is what makes it ideal for children armies as we see in CAR
now I know this isn’t RL and it’s a game, but as a shooter, some things in games annoy me
1: things full of ammo you shove in guns are called MAGAZINES, not clips, you use clips to charge(load) magazines
2: big revolvers are NOT more powerful than autos, wheel guns suck
3: you cannot make a gun more powerful by sticking something on it
4: smg has only slightly better range than a pistol, maybe 40 meters, so spray and pray is your only bet
oh yeah, does this shade of blue suit me ?

Not doubting you, but this one weirded me out.
I’ve shot the AKM and I felt it kick harder than when I fired a G3 Rifle. But the SKS felt like it had no recoil at all…weird.
RPK doesn’t move at all though lol, it just stays in one place as you hold the trigger down. OP IRL.
AKM is much lighter than SKS, about 2 lbs, less dampening , same with G3, it’s almost 4 lbs heavier than AKM although it fires a round that has a 12mm longer case
AKM is also lighter than AK47, mostly because of the receiver
love my SKS, we’re lucky, can still get 1440 round cases of ammo for $200 on sale
RPK-74 on bipod is a treat
never used an AK but i would think muzzle jump may be a bit much when in full auto, but the round itself isnt very high powered making recoil into the shoulder lighter. If im not mistaken that 7.62 x 39 round was made after WW2 when they realized a lot of the fighting was being done much closer. I also thought the main use of the AK was because it was inexpensive and survived dust and dirt much easier without malfunction.
