More aimbot hackers?

(SkrubLord) #1

It seems like the amount of aimbot hackers have been growing recently… In my past 3 days I’ve encountered 2 players that have clearly been hacking, both low level players. I’ve played about 350 hours of Dirty Bomb since november 2015, and this is the first time I’ve played against aimboters. Has anyone else noticed an increase in hackers? It’s disapointing to see that players like this gets through the anti cheat system. Hopefully they’ll fix the NSG so this game wont be ruined by hackers.

My theory, is alt accounts are starting to become a thing.

Because I seriously have not seen any hackers, and until I see footage I don’t believe it. It’s much of the same stuff I see in game, hackusations with no evidence to back it up.

I have proof, oh I have proof if you want. Both video and pics. But I wont post it here because of the no naming no shaming policy on the forums.

Playing against one of these is basically spawning in and instantly die the second your merc is not protected from damage anymore cause the hacker is right next to your spawn, killing the whole team without even aiming at them.

(blufflord) #4

yeah just yesterday saw lv 1 aimbotter. My 6th one now in 500 hrs. Not that bad tbh. Just report and move on i guess.

(Dawnlazy) #5

Just ran into 2 with the same clantag. They toggled and it was fairly obvious since when it was off they just didnt shoot even if they were right in front of you being shot at, but when they did it was 100% accurate.

(watsyurdeal) #6

It’s odd, cause in the states we don’t see any typically.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen an actual hacker on a US server, but I can recall how many times I’ve been accused in the last month. >_>

I only play in US East servers (and South Am. which is just mislabeled US East). I don’t see hackers all the time, it’s always in small waves that pop up and hang around for a few days until the anticheat gets an update. I saw 1 Proxy in the weekend blatantly melting everything from any range with the MP400 and today these 2 togglers. I just report and move on, they’ll probably be gone in a week or 10 days tops.

(Szakalot) #8

havent seen any hackers in months. Have only see just a few in hundreds of hours of gameplay since the new anti-cheat.

I only play minlvl10 servers though, which probably is too high a lvl for the majority of hackers.

(Mrarauzz) #9

been playing US West and encountered 2 hackers today. Didnt record the first but got the second bastard.

For all those saying “I haven’t “seen” any hackers” please understand that just because you don’t “see”(a.k.a. notice) them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

It’s kind of hard to prove someone is using wall hacks.

As for aimbotting, that’s a different issue because hackers aren’t stupid. Nowadays aimbotters will just aim for the chest as oppose to the head to mimic regular aim.

It’s quite easy to find out if someone is aimbotting. The easiest way is to see if every bullet they shoot at you hits you which is either due to extreme luck, you not moving(obviously), or aimbot. Even the pros can’t land EVERY hit on you.

You might notice, that people who say “I haven’t seen any” never denied the fact that there are some. They just tell about their experience.

(PleasantWheat) #12

I dunno about any other region but for some reason the cheaters I run into in AUS are unkickable which is really odd

(Cletus_VanDamme) #13

Yes we had a 110% cheat last night on an Aus server.

New account etc, was spawn killing the attacking team on Underground.

Managed to kill him 3 times and told him how shit he was, he got mad and did the insta kill enemy team thing.

How does that not set off an alarm when some dude gets 20+ team wipes in a row every game and gets 150 kills every game?

Edit - Love it how the team mates of the cheat not only don’t kick the guy, but they also take advantage of the cheat by camping spawns as well.

Stay classy.

(bontsa) #14

@grumpyBull There are hacks around though, that when you start a vote kick on them, immediately initiates another votekick on a random(?) person on same team so his vote gets “buried” unless people are reactive enough to fast “no” vote the false vote and then vote “yes” to kick the attentionseeking kiddo.

As far as those taking advantage of hacker though… Yep people are idiots

(Szakalot) #15

@Black if someone uses unnoticable hacks, than its hardly an issue for me. im not saying its ok (ban the twats), but i dont care, it doesnt affect my experience. an aimbot thats worse than a good player - why would i care?

are all those hacks you notice on minlvl servers?

(asparagusMist) #16

its not too bad at moment but there is cheats. the reason you dont see them on here is posts showing or naming them are deleted.i have posted videos of people aimbotting. removed.

i could link articles where they get them from to show people are cheating but that would maybe lead to a few trying out cheats. which is counter productive.

(Ohsnapkline) #17

same I encountered one yesterday from this comment

(SkrubLord) #18

@Szakalot Both hackers I’ve encountered have been in a normal server, they were level 1 and 7. I’m playing on EU servers. What annoys me the most it that people dont even kick the hackers, they just go along with it because they get an easy win and more xp. If you encounter hackers, report them first and then kick them, you will do the community a good favour

(Supersneaky) #19

Another way to deal with an obvious hacker (low level with free merc usually) is have the opposite team not spawn till you kick the player, as to stop the hacker gaining any exp.

Truth is unless you actually watch someone play, you won’t be able to tell if someone is toggling or whatever. Only the blatantly obvious hackers are easy to spot, 100% accuracy, aimbot, etc.

If someone is smart and is hiding it well, it’s really hard to tell. Trigger bots and wall hacks especially, you have to watch them play carefully to see if they’re getting lucky, maybe they have acute game sense, or maybe they really are wall hacking, cause there’s no reason the other player should have lost to them. Competitive Counter Strike is the perfect example, then again I suck at that game so maybe there’s some secret to it beyond just guessing what spot the enemy is likely to hit you from. Like some sort of game of hide and seek, with guns.

This is stuff that can’t be easily called hacks, which is why often I just don’t listen to people when they make accusations. If it’s blatant, then yea, I’ll call it out. But I’ve been called a hacker numerous times by new players, as I am sure plenty of other people here have as well after 6 months or more of playing this game for, let’s say about 10 hours a week.

So, yea, you can understand why when I see these posts at least 2 to 3 times a week, hear it at least once or twice a week when I play from people who JUST started playing, that I basically just assume it’s not true. Crying Wolf constantly just makes it harder for people to believe it when one actually shows up.
