Your reply, it is like rap. It is full of grammar and spelling mistakes. It just sucks.
But seriously. How does the default balance not work? If it is unfair you have to join the team that has the least amount of players. OR are you suggesting that even if the teams are fair but the team that is losing has to have more players on their team?
Mod-idea: The team with at least two more players don't get XP
i go with you on that reaply, and as mentioned earlier here… sometimes teams needs to be more on one side than the other… should rather be a an auto assign to the worst team based on what the achieve in kills and objectives
(Sorry for the sucking spelling errors, i do it better next time so it won’t suck)
No, what i meant was that i never saw a fair balancing system or a formula. It may be me but the only fair system was Cyburk his idea.
(How to judge a good or bad player etc…good engi, good medic, good cvops etc.)
reaply u havent read one of my reply (:p) where i explained why the default one isnt perfect. (short: its when they leave.)
I would stick to the good admins on a server. Even numbers of teammates says nothing. Admins know who is skilled or not and can balance it way better than any script. Many good players , xpreset all the time.
Well, thats how we handle it at Blackops
my 2 cents:
- info is needed about skills of each player, etpub tried that…
- with this info make teams even. so that each team has about qual amount of skillz.
^skills can actually be just the Kill/Death ratio… although incorporating if a player solves objective or not over various maps could proove interesting.
Shuffle by xp is crap, having same playercount is crap too, there can be 3 skilled and 3 noobs on the other side…
Once teams are fair by skills… accept that you cannot always win a map.
@blow obviously thats the best when its available. it doesn’t negate the niceness however of having a [better-]working automatic system around, when no humans are listening, and when the players themselves can’t fix it on their own due to various possible reasons (lack of care, etc)…
[added tags balancing & teams]
well any kind of balancing system would need the following things for optimum balancing:
-XP
-Rate of xp gaining
-headshot %
-accuracy
-K:D ratio
-nr objectives completed
I think with these elements you could define what is a good player vs a weaker one.
. But that is a pretty good idea.
