cybs idea is rly very nice; but giving out negative xp or stripping greater parts of the hud r way too harsh for me. dont be that strict to players lol. @reapl, that doesnt matter, it only dont let more ppl join to the stronger team, but if they leave it does nothing. reverting xp to prev status after match if unev also dont like. double xp is too much, and it wont as effective either imo to make ppl move. the smaller team pwning… that can be sad pff but nothing can done automatically against it… or yes? wtf… maybe adding some advanced pre filter to these punishing mechaninsms? i mean based on xps or kills or whatever gained by the two teams, if one is doing consistently better than othe other despite the numerical disadvanteage, the thing wouldnt enable the balance-encourager event.
hiding xp pane only, and the spamming lua are also okay but the starter post and the etqw are more awesome. temporarily stripping skills… dunno… liked others better
another idea, maybe we could make it two-tier:
with that my ideal’s summary: if one team is smaller by 1-3 players, and in sucking, simply do the noxp, hidexp, or voteforreward thing, all with a notifier text. maybe we could make them all in and selectable by the cvars value, not just 0 and 1. and if smaller by 4 or more players, and in sucking, then we can do nulls’ second idea of not only not giving xp but setting (tmp.ly) the levels also to zero. or slowly(!) giving negative xp rly this time. again notifier text is a must!. and if the smaller, by whatever amount, team still seems stronger based on some stats (dont have exact ideas, not into this stuff that much), then dont do anything.
