I’ll be getting a new video card and monitor, will wait until mid-May for prices to drop a bit more.

If there is something wrong with either of these please speak now or forever hold your peace. :D[/QUOTE]
Don’t get an Ultra power supply. Even their flagship model can’t even meet specs.

(crazyfoolish) #64

Lol just read this thread before ordering. Thanks. I didn’t really research the psu. Is there a cheap brand that you can recommend?

Nice.

With this card you should run “2 brinks” without any problems unless SD
mess up with the old id tech4 engine.

(crazyfoolish) #68

That’s the plan!! I tried it out today with Black Ops and maxed out all settings, all AA, and all processing. BUTTER

(crazyfoolish) #70

May i ask, what is your rig?

(LyndonL) #71

Nothing overly hardcore. I bought an i7 just before the Sandybridges came out cause I wasn’t keeping up with all the info and didn’t realise it was being superceded. :frowning: Least I didn’t end up with a dud mobo I guess.

Anyway: Core i7 870 2.93GHz, 8Gb DDR3 1600, Gigabyte GTX570OC, CoolerMaster 692 case.

And no I didn’t get the case for the LED heh… I got it for the eSATA port on the front panel

I guess you mean 690 II Advanced
Have one myself (also run it with LED’s off) and they are damn awesome

Speaking of which, need to get some more cable ties, nice reminder
