Mine tk shouldn't get file complains.....

I don’t agree. ET has become de second most played online game thanks to Noobs. Lets not make this like America’s Army.

That’s why I say no to mine tk complains…so noobs get their chance to adapt wythout hurting veterans XP.

One thing may be your placement of mines. You need to place them so that your people can elude them easily. Do not place them so your teammates HAVE to jump them to get passed. If you notice that the enemy seems to be eluding them too easily they have probably been spotted - move them or replace them! No amount of considerate mine placement can prevent a teammate from backing into one or stepping sideways onto one. Its going to happen.

If someone steps on your mines and complains, explain politely that they should not do that. Do not assign the blame to them or piss them off. Labeling them a stupid n00b will not endear you to them. They will continue to file complaints just because they think you are a jerk.

I agree with those statements. I believe that majority of the eng’s that have problems was because they were jerks either to that player or another player. I have yet to complain from a mine, but almost every time I accidently stepped on one I get barraded by insults.

By noobs, i mean people who just SUCK… not people that are new to it…i’ve only played RTCW in Demo form, and ET’s rather new.

I meant that as a joke kinda… but people who are annoying in the game should be able to be banned from the master server like in AA, or something :expressionless:

I dont ever(unless it’s an obvious thing, like at spawn point) complain for mine tks…

and unless someone needlessly complains me on mines do i “yell” at them
and if they keep doing it and keep complaining me i just votekick em

why mine complaints should be removed:

If your engineer has put mines in a stupid place, throw a grenade at them. Voila!

Also, a fun trick I’ve been playing with.

  1. Place friendly mine in enclosed space (like a corridor)

  2. Step on Friendly mine

  3. Get shot by enemy

  4. Laugh at the grizzly deaths that ensue

place multiple mines for chain reaction
