It’s actually because at one point in closed alpha, every merc had grenades, maybe one until death.

Dazzler, imagine Fragger-Thunder’s baby with both Frags and unique Flashbangs along with using the K-121 as a primary and M4A1 as a secondary was the only one who could regenerate his grenades.

As to what the grenades are though, the one Sparks, Rhino, Thunder carry and Fragger uses look like Russian RGD5s.

Sawbonez, Aura and The other grenades Thunder has strapped to his bandoliers look like they’re Flashbangs.

With no clue as to what Thunder’s actual Conc Grenade is if it’s real.

Not really sure if this is “headcanon” or just a fan theory/speculation but…

Sawbonez’ backstory states that he had been dishonorably discharged for transplanting the kidney of his commanding officer to a lowly private.
If one takes a really good look at Arty he has a lot of acne around his chin and jawline, this is a side effect of kidney transplant apparently.
Seeing how they’re seen using their laser and knife to bother skyhammer and how many of their lines are completely the same they sound like they could be friend and that Arty is the guy who Sawbonez had operated on.

Aimee: talks with SNITCH…a lot, treating it kinda like a pet

Arty: Calls his family after each mission to say he’s okay and he’s going to send the money asap, then hangouts with Sawbonez, talking about good ol’ times in the military

Buswhacker: Collects shitton of junk and keeps it in the barn, spending nights there

Fragger: Has huuuuuuuuge sweetooth, loves candies. Owns a teddy bear with a small plush grenade.

Kira: Makes cute, peronalized Bentōs for each merc and herself (if she hates the merc, adds some “spice” and then giggles maniacally at their pain)

Phantom: Creeps on other mercs, watches them f.ex. sleep but sometimes goofs and is discovered. Owns a bodypillow of Rhino without his armor, showing dem abs. Has an equally goofy cat, tries to create a Refractive Armor for her.

Proxy: has cancer (is cancer). But for real, has a very strong alcohol resistance, always wins drinking games.

Sawbonez: hangouts with Arty after missions, is pansexual

Sparks: Is deadpan and awkward in social interactions, common sense does not exist for her. Multilingual with perfect accent. Very, very creepy and quirky, often appears and disappears without a trace or sound.

Thunder: has very weak head, constantly calls, texts etc. with every medic, cries in the corner when they don’t respond asap. Is jelly of Arty spending time with Sawbonez

Vassili: Also socially awkward, panics a lot when talking to people, prefers to interact via the internet. Very messy flat.

@Shinywindow @“Grave Knight” I’d say the majority of the mercs are about 25-35. Although, Proxy is confirmed 25, Redeye is at least 45 and Thunder could be a damn bumblebee in a vest and a skin mask.

Redeye: Hates vapers/smokers, collects WW1 an WW2 stuff

Rhino: Would prefer a fruits/vegatables but has to eat a shitton of proteins to keep his muscles up

Stoker: Becomes a literal alter-ego of himself (not posh&quiet&polite) when drunk, literal chav

Turtle: Loves to breakdance (especially on his enemies graves :wink: ), collects stuffed pandas, dares everyone to arm wrestle with him
