Here’s a suggestion when going 1 on 1 with a medic… and they’re running away like little bitches giving themselves health packs cause they can’t believe they’re losing to a Field Ops 1 on 1… CHASE THEM DOWN!
That’s clearly when they’re most vulnerable. Just run them down like the dogs they are and lay a whole clip into their back.
I find people rarely chase me when I’m giving myself health packs 
Plus regeneration is a joke, and doesn’t really help in a firefight. If you’re losing tons of HP to bullets the 3 hp ain’t comin back right away buddy.
I actually really like the idea about medics not being able to heal themselves.
And to all those people who feel medic is not overpowered as it is right now:
As a medic (yes I have actually played medic before, and OMG I think they’re overpowered) you can easily get to lvl 4 medic skill from just following team mates around and shit, which isn’t the problem. The problem is, is that a medic can fucking rock when he gets into fights with the enemy. One of the reasons he can kick the shit out of any other class in a direct fight is because he can run away and heal himself. And now all you guys say “But you should chase him down and not let him heal” and I say well it’s not always possible to chase them down and even if you do, they could be healed and reloaded by then. And if they are of equal skill to you then they will kick your ass every time because they have more health and every single time you are basically fighting him at full strength.
I have played medic a shitload, and a lot of the time I get highest fragger and most experience and all that shit. Using an SMG in this game is very simple point and shoot, they’re isn’t and real recoil to stop you (especially at higher levels). So the advantages the medic gets unbalance it for the classes that are supposed to be the ones doing the killing.
Yes, I think medics should be able to defend themselves, even though I don’t think they should have to if they are doing their job. And taking away the SMG would decrease the number of people playing it. But the people that usualy play it well are the ones that are focused on the healing aspect and the newbies tend to aggravate the shit out of you (me anyway) by not seeing the dead body calling for medic… So less people would play it, I don’t fucking care. If no one is playing medic on my team, I fucking play it. I fill in the roles that are needed even if I’d rather play something else…
But, as I said before, I definetly like the idea of medic not being able to heal himself as opposed to the taking the SMG away from them.
Those peeps who choose medic and play it deserve all the benefits they can get. Especially considering how often peeps tap out when they are enroute, only to get stranded in the open with no gun.

Yes i agree, That is the most frustrating thing about being a medic, to run through a slew of enemy’s to save someone only to have them tap out(or “randomed” gibbed).
So how about for all those who dont play medic and they tap out for any reason, they dont get a gun next spawn, ok its A JOKE.
( anyone notice that in ETtest it was hard to gib and people complained about it and now it is to easy…)
Did you read my initial post? It was about finding a more valuable reward as replacement for the “Medic Ammo”, which is quite the same as “Improved use of Light Weapon Ammunition”. And my proposal to give medics the SMG through the skill system was just a thought. Maybe you have a better idea for a replacement?
And I think that medics can level up in Battle Sense more easily (since medics will survive fire fights more often), so it would be fair to slow their progress with light weapons, even if its only for 2 or 3 minutes until they get the SMG through the skill system.
Just give up already.
Medics don’t need changing (apart from the Axis uniform).
It just ain’t gonna happen.
However, with your obvious wealth of skill & experience with what is essentially a brand new game, I’m guessing you and others like you will keep on plugging away at this issue.
Hopefully, eventually, you’ll just get frustrated or bored, or even better, both; then if all goes well, you’ll give up and eff off.
Sorry to be confrontational, but I really think this issue primarily comes down to lack of skill & experience on behalf of the complainer.
i play medic in my clan all the time, and if you take away the smg you are going to really weaken the class and the team, that is another gun gone. medics arent that overpowered, a good shooter can win against me easy if he gets the headshots first. im dead much faster then any amount of regeneration or health packs. shoot better and leave medics alone.
