It seems like out of all the classes, medics will have the easiest time leveling. Not only do they get the 75 or 100 XP from merely throwing someone a syringe, but they will get another 100 XP if they revive. Will other classes have similar XP bonuses for good ability usage, like putting down a turret in an objective zone?
Medic Revive = Power-leveling?
It cetainly seems that way, but i would be a medic either way. i hope its not the easiest to farm/ noobiest class i was hoping it would be underrated and people would stay clear of it because i wanna be the only medic in town.
i hope they find a way to balance XP if they haven’t already
Yeah, I hope they do balance out the class XP gain as well.
Since my favorite class is gone (Field Ops), I will be sticking with my number two class (Engineer) most of the time, might do Soldier on occasion.
Medic and Operative are my two least played classes in QW, and probably will be here.
medic and operative are my most played classes
and im sure SD will think of something to level it out.
Soldiers pass out ammo, Engineers buff weapons…I would imagine that the bonus from those actions is somewhere in the same neighborhood as healing someone. The Operative doesn’t have a team-buff like that though, so I’m not sure how he would be handled.
The Operative does what exactely, disguise, interogate and ? That’s it?
Think that is going to be a class I’ll never play
hack objectives, hack turrets, provide radar (interrogate), spot mines…im sure theres some more:rolleyes:
I hope not, and clearly that won’t be the case : health and damage done etc depend on body type, not classes. I imagine the balance will come from the pip costs. If reviving a guy costs the same as buffing three ones, something like that, then you won’t be able to revive one mate by second like in Bad Company 2.
But still… do you really level a class ? Isn’t the system about leveling a character and then spending xp points on the perks we want, whatever the class is ?
edit : yeah I think that’s the case but the problem WOULD BE still here.
I’ll be rambo’ing around without reviving anyone but me anyway…
This is again another post QQ’ing bout overpowered medics isnt it? Cant you guys just stop caring that much about XP? Go play WoW if you want so badly to level up ffs…
/rant
Peace
I’ll be rambo’ing around without reviving anyone but me anyway… :D
I’ll wonder if we will ever find a hill similar to the one we used to rule on Sewer. Oh those were the days
It was funny indeed, get 3 tech on this forward + some oblit to cover for vehicles and its coooool
I wont get the game on the spot tho
but lemme know your impressions when you grab it via pm, and you gametag, I’ll stalk you later
So what? I don’t see how this matters at all. Medics can’t do all of the objectives, so they won’t be the only class in a team.

This isn’t QW2. It’s a different game, and you might play it differently. Also, there is a trailer specifically showing each of the classes. There is no need to guess or use the word “probably”.
I think all 4 classes have exploitive power leveling abilities. I don’t have any proof or experience, but I’ll certainly consider making a thread for each one composed of a couple speculations from thin air.
Looks like you misunderstood him, he’s saying : “medic and soldier will probably be my least played class in Brink too”.
And I don’t see the problem on people trying to relate to QW to anticipate how they will play on Brink.
I’m a big fan of TF2’s medic, and when BC2 shipped out, even so the 2 games are really different, obviously, I was quite inclined to test its medic, and was quite happy to find another class important for the team and that can be really effective even without killing anyone.
