They so should bring in accidental firing of sten guns. The TK complaints would be phenomenal.

Yah, we were also considering randomising the grenade fuze delay times, and replacing the dynamite’s time detonator with an impact detonator so it goes off when you drop it.

how about randomly exploding bodies who are waiting for a medic?? That will decrease the revive rate even more than it is now :smiley:

I like being able to time my grenades, thanks…

And in Test 1 of Regular Wolfenstein you could change the detonation time of dynamite simply by “priming it” and even better for the engineers at the sea walls, as soon as they threw it, it was instantly armed.

I like the dynamite/nades exactly the way they are now.

What about cancelling a grenade, also same for dynamite.
I like the idea of using a dynamite as a big explosive but I don’t think this should be used to destroy objectives because there won’t be a 30sec timer. Maybe the instant-dyna could be as strong as 2 grenades or something.

I realize this would make the destruction objectives instantly ownable, but why doesn’t dyno blow when you toss a nade its way? Or multiple dynos stacked up, shouldn’t they all go when the first one does? That’s some badass TNT that can stick to its timer even when surrounded by explosive flame ;^)

Gameplay > realism

Think about it. Most of the WWII automatic guns were prone to jamming under battlefield conditions. But if your gun just randomly jammed (and occasionally just blew up in your face) would that be good gameplay ?

IMO, it is much better to think about games like this as a metaphor for combat (like chess) rather than a simulation.

Make field ops randomly explode when you shoot them, all the ammo they are carrying detonates. :wink:
