this is my problem:
From a week to present I have a big trouble, my ping is going crazy (only on E.T.) :banghead:
If I do a traditional ping to a server (eg: ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -t) I have a 50 to 75 ping, I can do that ping for several minutes without having anything bigger than 80; but playing on that server, my ping goes from 50 to 500+, with serious lag problems. (is a server where I play always and my highest ping was 200 in a day when I haven’t paused a download)
So, my question is: What’s the difference between a regular ping and a ping on E.T? and how I can fix that lag problems?
I have done:
Uninstalled E.T. and reinstalled again,
Changed the quality/resolution to a lower
Installed new video drivers
Used some tcp/ip tweaks
Uninstalled and reinstalled Direct X
Defragmented the hdd (with windows and norton)
Clossed any running process in background
Dissabled/enabled sound accelaration.

But that didnt fixed the problem :banghead:
Help, I want to be able of playing E.T. again
