Max FPs on auto exec or etconfig

i know that you can use the /com_maxFps xx in the console to limit FPS, but hpow would i convert that so i dont have to type it in every time

Just type

/seta com_maxFps xx

With the seta command you automatically save the changes to your config. See this link for how the set/seta commands work. Be aware that you must reenter this for each of your Profiles.

Unfortunately, the “seta” command is broken in ET… Just try it. If the cvar you’re trying to set is not already in your profile’s etconfig.cfg file, the cvar will not get added to it.

A workaround is to manually add the cvar settings to the etconfig.cfg file (again, the one in your profile directory, not the one in etmain) using a text editor. After that, all changes you make in-game to those cvars (using either “set” or “seta”) are saved automatically.

How do you take it off if you set it or set it wrong???

How do you make it back to default (where it goes up and down between 30-90 etc)

Go into ur ET config and change the the max fps to 90.

Default is 85 same goes for Q3 and RTCW, anything not sure of just type main command “com_maxfps” and it will show default values.
