As far as I rmember someone already has made a Mario mod/map.
Might also be for RTCW.
Can’t remember exactly.
Some kind of 2D sidescrolling mod/map.

Yes that’s the map/mod.
As far as I remember there’s also a W:ET version.

The idea is great.
But I guess it’s more a single player W:ET map.
You could think of an RTCW version.
There’s also a single player mod called entity plus (via PlanetQuake) for QIII.

Looking promising.

Shooting or touching the blocks could be achieved with scripting imho. But i wouldn’t know any item types, which could pop out.

Yes,This map is based on a Quake 3 Map

I am Planning to Add a Mario Style Command Post and Health/Ammo but I am not that Good at Modeling.

I Could Create a Flat Model and Use Deform Vertexes to create a fake 3D Model using 2D Animated Sprites

Any Suggestion of What a Mario Command Post and Health/Ammo would Look Like.

Health would be a mushroom… Mario universe is limited :confused: Maybe the normal mushrooms health and the green ones ammo?

Put the CP under the castle you can see at each end of level of SMB :stuck_out_tongue: For the texture I hardly see a CP in Mario universe, there’s not a lot of textures in SMB :confused:

Why don’t you try to use free 3d models from here?

These sprites were what I used in some 2d projects a looooong time ago.

So is it possible to let items like ammo pop out ?

Also when you change the appearance of the ammo, will it be only map local ?

Will ammo be pickable ?

If everything works, map would be great imo. Thanks to the original creators of course :slight_smile:

[edit] AFAIK you can let random items pop out (provided you found out how ammo lets be pop out and be pickable :). I have in mind et scripting does offer a random number to be generated, so you could base it on this, and pop out a random item once someone touches a block. Would be some variance :slight_smile: Also you can do timers, which will fill emptied blocks once in a while. So those blocks would not remain empty forever, you could fill them up.

Actually, i would really like to write that script :smiley: But not sure how much is possible :slight_smile:
