I can’t start a game. To be specific, Quake Wars will start up fine, but when I press the start button (“play”) to actually start a map, nothing happens. No crashing, no error messages, just nothing, as if the button didn’t do anything. What could be the problem?

It’s an HP keyboard, there’s no f-lock. It seems everything up to actually starting a game works, but when I press the “play” (sorry, it wasn’t “start,”), nothing happens. I’ve been having trouble with that particular computer recently, possibly related to drivers.

This is rather generic, what kind of maps are we talking about?
Does it happen with campaigns too?
Have you been able to run the maps in the past?
If so, did you make any changes to your installation?

It fails to work for all maps and campaigns I’ve tried.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, resetting all configurations to how it originally was, back when it worked. Nothing.
Everything worked fine in the past, although I have recently have had troubles with the graphics card drivers. I attempted to reinstall the drivers, but it didn’t help.
Frankly, at this point I’m considering buying a newer PC, I’m at wit’s end with this and several other problems, both with hardware and software, it’s been having. I’m due for an upgrade anyway.
