lollll!!! 30000!!!
mine are 14000
fps is average 85
yeh but i didnt think it was funny :banghead: , so i tried alot of things to keep the fps down :D, they are about the same as railgun now i think.
Another question…
When I make a misc_model or misc_gamemodel in the editor, it doesn’t show the model in the editor. :disgust:
thats good - caulking - hinting - detail brushes
three magic things to cut down fps and r_speeds
well it seemed to be a problem with the terrain shader death, cause when i used lightmapped etrrain the r_speeds were 30000 but with vertex terrain the r_speeds were 18000, so i was very confused.
now i changed the q3_lightmapsize from 512 512 to 128 128, and the r_speeds went from 30000 to about 19000
ah ok - i cant be bothered with lightmapping, i just use corona and key fade on lights for the right ligthing affects
oh and the right ambient (9)
i had mine at 15 ! but then installed the new q3map2 and put it down to 9
yeh im still messing about to get the right atmosphere to the map, with sounds and lights
hmm that reminds me - i need to download some new sounds. at the moment im working on objective sounds - i jus figured out the whole sound script thing.
ok, can u post what key and value u have for the model, when u select the model and press n
extract the pak0.pk3 file - open it up in winzip and then click extract to your etmain folder - do not drag and drop - use the extract button
i dont think thats the problem Death, i think its the path thats wrong from the model in this case
then he will have to do key model value models/ and then whatever the rest of the file path is
thats odd - i never had to manually do my model key - it was already done for me.
edit - thej jus added u onto msn
hmmm
thej jus added u to msn - e_vishal@hotmail.com is me
which model is it?
wohoooo - way to go - we managed to make a topic on mapcoordsmins and maxs a hot topic… lol
This thread is one of the biggest sources of wrong information I have seen in a while. The coordinates from fueldump DO make a square. It’s not centered around 0,0 but it IS a square with sides that are 14336 long. ( 13568 + 768 = 2048 + 12288 = 14336 )
