I’m sick of Skyhammers that don’t drop ammo, I am sick of seeing auras that don’t revive me.
Just make the tutorial a must play for the 1st time cause it is ridiculous.
Make tutorial a must play.
Suggested this before, mixed responses. Apparently some people don’t like the idea of forcing people to learn the game.
A forced tutorial is only bad if you have to run it repeatable for some reason. Like at the start of every single player campaign. But why would you ever make another account?
I’m all for it being forced, it takes all of a few minutes and shows you some useful things. An optional advanced tutorial that shows a bit more about wall jumps/long jumps, etc. would be nice too.
It’s 5 minutes, doesn’t take long at all and teaches new players a key element to the game.
Say, as an added bonus, lets put Engineer gameplay in too, with the walljump 101, thus lengthening the tutorial, thus making people less arsed to create multiple accounts! Splendid!
Now that I think of it thanks to what @coolFortress said it is actually maybe will make hackers less arsed to create new accounts (They will but going through tutorial over and over is pretty annoying).
Yeah I agree but may not help as much as you’d think…some people are just exactly what your avatar blocks out OP…seen a fair share of Skyhammers just use ammo for themselves…doesn’t count for Aura as much but plenty of Sparks and Sawbonez use their packs just for themselves.
Say, as an added bonus, lets put Engineer gameplay in too
And with a very aggressive, commanding voice the tutorial must say:
Only one person can repair an objective at a time
We could even have a part of the tutorial where they have to repair 3 objectives. The first one has nobody repairing, so you repair it and move on. The second one has an engineer repairing - if you try to repair it, you get killed and sent back to try again. The third one has an engineer repairing it - if you try to repair it, the anticheat bans you.
…Too much?
I’ll agree on this because I honestly feel bad that I have to yell at new players to get them to understand the purpose of their abilities…
Nah. Extra case can be received by every 3-4 matches.
I prefer more credits. It always gives them a massive panic for doing the thing.
They are hackers, if they can’t even set an ini flag to disable the tutorial, they are not worth the titel
. Ofcourse unless you store the information serverside, would propably mean that you occasionaly get prompted to do the tutorial again.
But I gotta say I like the approach, done right it could very well deter serial account creators without a money gate.
As for the tutorial in itself, I agree that a engineering section in it would be splendid (And I suggested as such long ago and even outlined how I think it should look like). Having 2 others trying to repair aswell, is the most annoying mistake people can make (and its not even beginners mistake only, I saw this shit in ranked).
However Devs said at one point, that while they would like to improve the tutorial, that right now it makes no sense. Tutorials are highly scripted, containing alot of voice work and so on… which takes alot of work, for a very small part of the game, that you see only once.
They rather focus on more important stuff right now.
Implying script kiddies who buy they hacks are hackers.
But they would sell the init with the hack as a bonus.
True words spoken here, they can’t get a crap done alone. Although Gl.Am’s point stands still, they can buy an .ini with daddy’s credit card that skips it anyway.
The more they take away the more their dad will be mad the more he will not want them to touch the card.
Fine, you don’t have to learn the game, you just won’t be able to play online with other players who did learn the game.
I’m getting tired of players not using their supports kits and I believe they should be reported for not doing it.
I’m getting tired of players not using their supports kits and I believe they should be reported for not doing it.
This sounds ridiculous. Reported and what? Suspended? Banned? For… being new? Or not as skilled as you want them to be? Or just having an off game? I’m all for encouraging people to get better but this is a step too far. Perhaps you were joking.
