No I’m not joking. There has been several times where I would use V chat, voice chat, and type in chat for my teammates to throw down health or ammo and they refuse to do it.
I personally believe that should be a punishable offense. It is being uncooperative and unhelpful to the team.
I shouldn’t have to play in min servers or pre make a team in order to have teammates who are cooperative.

No, you shouldn’t have to. You can always take it upon yourself to explain the mechanics of the game to people just as the tutorial would. The people who would listen to the tutorial will listen to you. The people who wouldn’t listen to the tutorial will continue to not listen to you.

Say, as an added bonus, lets put Engineer gameplay in too
And with a very aggressive, commanding voice the tutorial must say:
Only one person can repair an objective at a time
We could even have a part of the tutorial where they have to repair 3 objectives. The first one has nobody repairing, so you repair it and move on. The second one has an engineer repairing - if you try to repair it, you get killed and sent back to try again. The third one has an engineer repairing it - if you try to repair it, the anticheat bans you.
I think not only should it be forced, but it should also be expanded later on for when you purchase new mercs, it would be a nice way to learn the merc you bought and how it can be used in matches.

Bear in mind not all players speak your language, at least not fluently, and no you cannot use “Play on your own server” as an excuse, because sometimes people cannot, perhaps they are playing with their friend that moved to another country. You need to be considerate of every possibility. Playing in an uncooperative manner is frustrating but it’s not breaking the game, people will play how they see fit, as long as it’s not in violation of the rules then we should have no qualm about it. If someone wants to be an attack Aura they can, it’s at their own expense that they do not use the abilities given to them to help their team.
in my 10 + years of fps gaming i have never ever seen a tutorial change anything.
people who ignore their role and objectives will do so regardless of tutorials.
in bf-franchise you will find plenty of people with more than 1000 hours still not reviving, giving ammo or playing objectives. its not that they dont know how to do it, its just that they dont care. it happened in bf2 and its still happening in bf4.
the same behavior you find in dirty bomb and anyother team based fps game.
its not only newbies who do this but high rankers with lots of play time. some people simply do not care about team play. they play for themselves and their precious kdr.
So im not against a mandatory tutorial for new players but if you expect it will change anything then you’re in for a surprise.

I know it will not change a lot but it will change some stuff a bit level 2’s and 3’s most likely don’t know they can do so so that is why they don’t do it, higher levels are just being dicks and yes we cant do nothing against that but at least do more efforts to eradicate the problem.
And if they expend the tutorial then stuff will be much better trust me.

lol, yes I explain to people that Skyhammer should drop ammo when people or low but of course like you said they don’t listen which I believe is a problem.
I remember when I asked a aura to drop down her station near me and she told me “shut up.”…

I understand not everyone can play on their own server however communication is very key when it comes to cooperating with other players and if you can’t do it you are a burden to your team.
Also I thought that when I use the V chat, the it will appear in different language to players who have their language set differently.
My problem is not how people play mercs, it’s how they don’t support people when asked for it which is uncooperative.
@steelMailbox The expectation of players in a competitive game are vastly different then in a casual game. The same can be said if you add pre-made competitive into that mix.
Sometimes you just have to deal with the players you have rather than trying to get them to change. Once you have done all you can do and they aren’t helping you just have to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. Sure, if enough people vote you can kick them. That is the prerogative of the players on that team. Should they be punished beyond the optional kick? No.
Don’t be a dick is a guideline, not a rule. It is not punishable and it would be laughable if it was. Part of this is that being a dick is a matter of opinion, not a clear cut line. Is being a dick not noticing a downed teammate behind you? Having in game mics muted? Dying on top of the C4 and not realizing you should tap out? Deciding you just want to play your favorite class when the team actually need a medic or an engineer?
And yes, communication is key in a game like this. I would seriously suggest finding people you can communicate well with and playing with them. If you expect every player to have the same ideals you do then you will be disappointed. I know there are time when I personally just turn up some music and have fun, without trying too hard. That is what casual is for.
If you are experiencing these problems in competitive ~ Find people to play with! If you played with a team of 4 others and 1 or 2 of them played well/communicated then friend them! Keep playing with them! I am sure they will appreciate your teamwork as much as you do. Eventually you will always have somebody to play with who will meet your expectations.
@Ardez Here’s an idea I had, make comp available for level 10 plus and the problem will be partially solved on the comp side.
Sure you want that all players will have access to comp but most level 5 players I see still don’t understand the game all that well that they can take it up to comp.
About pubs I really don’t care.
At this point, I see more than enough level 10s that still don’t really play the objective. Maybe that’s more a publics problem, but upping the level will only ever be a temporary fix I think- the level 5s with no interest in playing the objective can very well become level 10s who still have no interest in it. I would have assumed these people just don’t play comp, but from the sound of it that isn’t the case.
You see, here’s the thing, this game relies on everyone doing their part, Medics reviving people so players aren’t wasting 5 second to get someone up, Engineers planting bombs so the Support, Recon, and Assault Guys can do their job at racking up kills and dealing damage, and Support guys keep the EV down and supply ammo.
Every class has their role, people NEED to understand those roles, there’s no excuse not to make the tutorial mandatory once it’s updated and explains all this stuff. People need to understand coming into the game that this is a TEAM shooter and not a Death Match game.
There is a clear lack of understanding of this that any experienced player will notice with the new blood.

There may not be a clear cut line on what being a dick is but there is certainly a clear cut line of being cooperative to/with your teammates.
