Make it that some mercs will be unlocked to buy in some levels

Yes, we all hate the guy who bought Vassili as his first thing (even before a case). We all know the guy who saw Rhino so he asked his mom and dad to give him 10$ to buy a merc with a mini gun.

I cant deal with it. Every lobby I go to I see a bad sniper who doesnt help the team, cant aim and doesnt know how to throw the heartbeat sensor. And with Rhino? The people who only use only their mini gun (for running too) and CAMPING IN THE FIRST OBJECTIVE OF UNDERGROUND makes me sick. The funny part is that I see levels 30+ doing that.

What I think could be nice is that some of the mercs will be unlocked at some level. Vassili requires skill, Maybe he will be unlocked at level 10?
Maybe Fletcher will be unlocked at level 5?
Maybe Rhino will be unlocked at level 7?

If SD really need money, make it so people can buy with real money the mercs that requires a level unlock.

Rhino Camping? But thats his job to camp!

defenders strategy is to camp
attackers will camp to protect C4

camping is this game main strategy.

merc like vasilli has a high skill ceilling while rhino is not that high and can be easily taken out by killing his medic then ganking on rhino (HUGE hitbox and VERY very slow merc)

vasilli should be available to buy with creds on level 20 or so
and rhino can be available any time.

Hm hm! Rhino should be camping the second objective instead!

But in all seriousness, I can see where people come from wanting level restrictions on high skill floor characters such as Vassili. It can be frustrating, but they are having fun doing their own thing, which is the purpose for games in the first place. But a player is going to have the same general FPS skill regardless of what level he/she is. A level restriction would only serve to delay the bad Vassilis.

Plus, isn’t it much more frustrating to see a level 10+ Vassili doing poorly than a person under level 10? If they do get Vassili early on, it does mean they can practice with him in early matches. You never know if that person may actually improve his/her FPS skills over time.

im just sitting here playing vassili and thunder. enjoying butthurt scrubs complaining on the forum <3

if mercs are going to be unlocked at a certain level we also have to stop paying for mercs, as that is why we actually have to pay for mercs. to give us a choice. if we dont get a choice in what mercs we want at what moment then why do we have to pay for them?

that also means that we need to have every basic merc available from the start. so you start out with 1 assault merc (skyhammer), 1 medic (aura), 1 obj merc (proxy), and a sniper (vassili), after that you can level up and unlock all the other mercs.

having a sniper is a basic nessecity in every game, at least 1 sniper is always available from the start of the game, and after leveling you unlock other snipers.

Random question and off topic, but what region are you in? Only asking because I used to play Team Fortress many many years ago with a guy called ZeSpecter who lived in Australia or New Zealand haha.

I’m in EU, only reason I’m still up is cause my sleeping pattern is so messed up x)
And I’ve never played Team Fortress before, so just a coincidence that we have the same name. Surprising though, I always thought my username was very unique

That’s the only part of this post that made sense.

Fletcher doesn’t take much skill to play well with him, but a lot of skill to truly master (as with any merc of course). He has access to shotguns and a smg sidearm, plus explosives which can be spammed a bit and you can jump all you want without losing accuracy. Plus, they have high damage.

Now Vassili on the other hand, he’s definitely the hardest merc to play in my opinion. He’s definitely not “easy” as some noobs claim.

He was actually one of the last mercs I unlocked, Proxy and Sawbonez were my first unlocks.
