Me and another team mate have seen this “magic MG42” , the two other don’t see it

yepp, appears from time to time, seems to be the turet-MG of the Jagdpanther, was probably exchanged with another object that was supposed to be there.

Don’t worry, the MG can’t be used, just ignore it :slight_smile:

I’ve seen it too… unfortunately it disappeared before I could take a screenshot. I’m interested as to what causes it to appear there…

Its prolly like a few bugs iv seen in Q3A, CPMA and Q3F. Things like a rocket launcher on a bounce pad that i cant pick up o_O
And did u know that most leagues think that a fov above 120 is a wall hack? All started from the aussies :o

Leagues can think? :slight_smile: Like any other league or cup etc its the person in charge who makes all the decisions… now, if this person says ‘yeh yeh such and such is this’ then it doesnt mean thats the case. Its just that persons opinion. Im sure the players of the league dont think the same, they probably just dont have it any other way due to this decision being made up already. Its like, certain ET leagues dropping the foilage yet others say no to it. Im sure players in either think the opposites.

For the RL bug, dunno bout in CPMA but works in OSP if you just shoot at the weapon or away then pick it up. :]

Offtopic… CPMA is shit anyway :slight_smile: OSPCTF/TDM/CA = teh Win.

AFAIK the fov > 120 wallhack (I think it starts to work about 130) found in RTCW etc doesnt apply in ET, not found anywhere that it happens anyway. My best guess is it doesnt work in ET because the znear is 3 in ET and 4 in RTCW? Might be something else going on there though, thinking about how sometimes when spectating a mortar guy in a corner for example, sometimes you can see through the wall even though the player himself cannot.

I still reccomend FOV be restricted to between 90 and 120-ish, because there is reasonable argument that the field of view shouldnt be allowed to be too much greater because it is something of an advantage, and pretty much everywhere limits it to either 90-120 or 90-125.

DG it doesnt even count as a hack…
They THINK its a wall hack. It isnt, you cant see anything apart from geom through it. No entities are drawn. So all your really hack is being able to see geom through a wall…how handy!

oh i dont care about FOV… it’s those textures that are weak sauce…
everything is neon there’s no shadows… why not use the cvars hack that
makes everyone neon green to point them out better for you

b5k remember if ents/players/etc are behind said wall and its in the same pvs tan it will be drwan, i used to use this on stag when i was bored in q3f :stuck_out_tongue: could see into the FR from the ramp room.
