Anyone else getting “this server is for low pings only” error? maybe its just my connection, but i MUCH prefer this to the cdkey thing, as it always connects on the first reconnect.
Low ping msg instead of cdkey?

yep i get this as wel i just hit re-connect and it pops straigt in. Unless its the CD key thing then its delete that.

The low ping message should also be fixed with the reconnect, assuming you actually have a ping within the required range. (the guid thing, OTOH, is often not)

I still get the low ping message occasionally. I don’t bother deleting/regenerating my key now though, just wait for it to go through. It now has an age of 90…old man cd-key.:fiesta:

Server admins can enforce a min. and a max. ping you need to connect to the sever. Pressing the reconnect button usually “fix” it.
The only thing it has in common with the cdkey message is that both are controlled by Punkbuster.

FWIW, the ping thing is not controlled by punkbuster. It existed in Q3 long before PB.

there would be no need for it to be controlled by pb and the min and max servers arent linked to pb

I usually get the ping message alot on my own server even though I set it to 320, I connect and 97% of the time I get the ping message, my ping btw is typically less than 30. As for the CD key thing, I just connect to another server for about 2, 3 min and come back and it seems to fix it.
