Lol at Bethesdas Brink forum

Yeah I decided recently to migrate from that den of redundancy over to this forum. A lot more laid back over here and I like it. I imagine a lot of the main Bethesda Forum’s population is going to move over here. I mean hell we have free Tapirs over here too! And Jess Alon is right there is a massive troll over there making down right stupid topics… For example, “Is BRINK Going to be Balanced or Unbalanced.” What do you think we’re going to say?..

Yeah the undercover troll quickly changed his tune when I called him out on his game. And went from clueless to knowledgeable in an instant. Suddenly knowing about something that he was asking for everyone’s input on in the original post.

since you are the one calling names, what would you call someone if he is coming from another forum to this forum with the mere purpose to whine about it? really, i doubt that anyone cares. it would be nice if you could leave the drama wherever it is and just join the club. thanks! :slight_smile:

by the way, compared to the pre-release wolfenstein forums, the mods are doing a pretty good job there.

this thread has nothing to do with brink, nothing good can come from it, so could someone please lock it?

no, that’s not all, obviously, just read what others complain about. given their experience from the past, don’t you think they know what they are doing? and how about bashing them there instead of here or just simply leaving their forum if you don’t like it there?

Who still care about official or not? As long as I get the info I need I would like an independant forum 100 times moar than an “official” one. At least you have some people who can laid back on the matter, and think without being braindead chipmunks…

Didn’t come here just to whine about ONE poster over THERE. Get over yourself. And who are you to request the thread to be locked? It’s about a brink forum. One that you yourself are most likely banned from yourself. But that’s brink related enough. And enough thread locking goes on over there so lets allow discussion to continue if it wants to thanks.

Those of you that have a lot of knowledge would be a good resource on that board regardless of how annoying some of the more clueless people that post are. There’s some really clever and thoughtful people over there just looking for input.

And H0RSE got banned and his whole compendium hasn’t been updated since. That forum needs help.

Tbh, a thread having a dig at how another forum is run and set up isn’t a very good subject matter… I mean seriously, look at the thread title! Anything that starts ‘Lol at…’ you can tell is going down hill quickly, and probably shouldn’t have been created in the 1st place.

ah, now i understand. see, requesting a thread to be locked is something you could have done over there by yourself. maybe it’s just me, but in my opinion it would have been a better alternative to what you did (telling users to use the search function, teasing them, etc)

regarding who i am: i’m just a regular user who doesn’t think it’s appropriate to allow users of 2 forums (which belong together) to bash one of the forums on the other, in public. if you have issues with one forum, deal with them on that forum.

iirc requesting a thread locking was considered an offence on some forum (cant remember which ones tho), so its almost as “faulty” as teasing people to use the search function…

I am certain I agree that bashing the Bethesda forum here does not accomplish any good, however much I may agree with the stated faults of it.

Yeah all it takes is a ‘yo these dawgs on the SD forums be dissing us’ thread there. I’ve seen that happen between the US and EU World of Warcraft forums, that’s thousands of people quoting each other cross-atlantic, biggest flame war ever.

I do deal with them on that forum. I write the mods. I don’t think a thread needs to be locked when the discussion could be steered in the right direction. But repetitive nonsense like what happens on the forum is ridiculous. Also I agree the forums belong together. But I bet a lot of users here wouldn’t use that forum because they’d become annoyed quickly.

I’m not bashing that forum. I like most of the people there. I just think it’s crazy how certain problem cases continue on and on unchecked. But what do I know? Why should I be able to use an “official” forum that’s properly moderated?

Don’t judge me. I want to see things better for everyone. That includes some users not wasting everyone’s time. And other users taking the time to share their expansive knowledge thus enriching the experience for everyone. Regardless don’t worry yourself as to how I handle myself because my intentions are not selfish.

Also as a recent migrate from the Bethesda forums I do have to say that there have be a ton of redundant threads recently that I’ve tried to polity say we already covered…

Also does Bethesda have tapirs? :stroggtapir:
