correct me if im wrong, if publisher have rights for brink game forum, their forum is official, what if they will simply order to SD to stop brink discussion here ?
because , for example, we had etqw forum, official from failvision, and here mod support…

Bethesda own the rights to the Brink trademark, as such they can and have to defend its use. That said I also expect there to be some fair use laws around trademarks that allow you to use them in situations where it is clear you are not representing the trademark.

So I don’t think (other than by souring a relationship) Bethesda could stop SD talking about Brink on their own forums any more than they could stop us on any other. What SD couldn’t do though is reveal information that Bethesda owns or say they are the official forum when they are not. Putting up a mod/map sub-forum in which SD help people is really nothing to do with Bethesda.

I rattle all through that because I just feel we have seen SD curtailed by Bethesda. Maybe I’m wrong and they’re just crunching hard but Rahdo’s once communicative input and updates here seem to have been silenced far beyond mere workload.

I like the community I’ve found on that brink forum. I don’t like how uptight the moderators are about their rules. I’ve been banned from talking to my friends for informing some idiot that he needs to use the search feature and lightly teasing the dude that his post was redundant.

some of many possible actions:

  • not replying at all
  • providing a link to the duplicate and requesting a lock
  • leaving “redundant” stuff to the admins
  • pm an admin
  • pm the author

instead you decided to bump a redundant (so you say) thread with an absolutely redundant post, which really nobody cares about. so in what way do you think your post is better than his? in fact, yours is even worse. so why do you complain?

Right now we’ve got a TROLL that won’t be a super obvious troll and no one knows what to do about it. It’s pretty funny.
