whenever i play et (or rtcw for that matter), my monitor likes to change its settings around so that my screen looks like shit. it happened with my old monitor, although to a lesser degree (just got a new one). i don’t want to have to fiddle around with the buttons on my monitor each time i play, and i’d like to be able to lock the settings so it can change resolutions without resetting my settings to default (such as h-size, tilt, etc). is there any way to do this? i have some envision 19 inch monitor…

Just change your desktop to whatever resolution you play ET in and adjust your monitor’s on-screen controls while in that resolution to make it look right. Then you can change your desktop back to whatever you usually use.
You’ll only have to do it once. Modern monitors will remember their screen settings for different resolutions so next time it switches to ET’s res, you’ll be OK.
