Linux?

Unreal engine is not Linux friendly. TTimo could probably shuffle a client up (prefer server binaries first) , but he’s sorta developing something quite interesting, es_core for e-sports FPS , smells like integrated twitchtv as well

I would also support a linux client but sadly I don’t think it will happen…
Most people who want a Linux client are still able to play on a separate windows partition. So it’s not like slash damage would lose a lot of money and probably wouldn’t earn much more money through a Linux client. Even through there are founder pack owners interested in it (who already paid a good amount of money).
But most importantly the game is advertised as windows only, so everyone who bought a early access pack knew it would be for windows.

Nevertheless I would be very happy if there would be a Linux version later down the line. So this thread is kind of impotent to (at least) show that there is a demand for a Linux version

And now I used the word “would” far to much :stuck_out_tongue: [yup English is not my native language^^]

That’s so nice you’re worrying about Splash Damage earning or not earning enough money. But there are other things, like customer goodwill and loyal fanbase, that can be worth much in the long run. Splash Damage games used to run on Linux.

I have my toes crossed for Linux server binaries, not too worried about a client though, but that’s only because I personally would have no use for it.

I’d be glad if there are Linux server binaries available for this game, if it’s upon or near the official release.
