I assume he is just using his techincal terms wrong and he was wondering about the server linux binaries :stuck_out_tongue: At least that’s what I want to know

i guess we shouldnt expect a linux dedicated server any time soon considering they probably have months worth of bug fixing to do first… i assume that’s taking priority right now.

I think they’re in the works. I don’t think they want to lose the window of opportunity to get old (and new) clans with their own linux servers onboard.

my prepared linux server for brink does use 35 -40 mb ram after the boot and there are already some small tools running, so with 1gb ram there plenty of place for a pure brink server and a cronjob clears the unused old stuff from the ram, it’s a good way to get rid of possible memory leaks - with basic tools.
try that with the noobish windows crap.

It’s just that new communities/clans popping up for latest games seems to not know about anything else than gameservers.com. But old clans tend to stay with their linux boxes (for good reasons).

Now, come on SD get us some linux server binaries :wink:

Hey there, I only registered to tell the nice people of SD that me and my clanmates are also waiting in line for the release of the linux ded server.

Oh, and you made an incredible good game once again, I loved Wolf:ET and liked ET:QW very much. Now I just hope you get the bugs sorted out quick so you can get back to work on the linux-server. :slight_smile:
