Linux ET Not finding any servers.

(prec) #1

I downloaded the latest ET Linux patch yesterday to patch my previously working version of ET and when I started the game there were no servers listed. I attempted to refresh the list multiple times but to no avail. :banghead:

So, I quit trying and then tried again today - same problem. :frowning:

I pinged the master server and it was responding just fine so I don’t think its down.

Anyone have any idea what could be going wrong and how I could fix it?

I run Slackware 9.1 with a cable internet connection. I did notice that when ET starts up it says my IP address is 127.0.0.1 which it is not - I have no idea where it is getting this information because “ifconfig” reports my ip address just as it usually is.

Any help is appreciated.

there have been problems with the master server in the last few days… just because the machine answers a ping doesn’t mean that it is actually a functioning master.
