I have a cable modem attached to a Linksys BEFSR41 which in turn has 4 computers attached, all running XP pro. For some reason one of the computers has no problems playing ET-the server list populates, connects to servers, punkbuster is fine, pings are great, etc. All 3 of the other machines are unable to display a server list. If you manually connect to a server it will usually work (but of course punkbuster kicks them if more than one of the pcs are playing on the same server.) What strikes me odd about this situation is that no port forwarding has been specified on the router, and all 4 computers have the same exact network settings. It makes no difference whether the “working” computer(mine) is attached to the router or not, or which port it’s attached to, or what ip address it’s using-the 3 other computers always have the same problem retrieving the server list. When you launch the server browser the console shows the master server being resolved properly and server parsed messages, but nothing appears in the browser window. Does anybody know what could be causing this/how this could be resolved?
p.s. before you ask, the server browser source is set to “internet.”
