limited lives vs. dual objective

I run a limited lives server and recently installed a dual objective map (marketgarden).

I’ve found that anyone joining after the timelimit has expired will have unlimited lives even though their lives are listed as “-”.

Has anyone run into this before? Could it be a bug in the map only? I’ve run dual obj maps before and don’t remember coming across this issue, but it may have just gone unnoticed.

soz for “offtopic”, what do the LMS commands actually do?

set g_lms_currentMatch “0” - ?
set g_lms_roundlimit “3” }
set g_lms_matchlimit “2” } difference?
set g_lms_lockTeams “0” - difference from normal teamlock?
set g_lms_followTeamOnly “1” - i take it only allows speccing own team?
set g_lms_teamforcebalance “1” - im guessing it forces total player number balance rather than the normal balance cvar which just counts current players?

go to the ND80 forums and PM silicon slick. Their New Maps server was running limited lives and new joins would start off with a number of lives = to about the average of everyone else
