ETPro calculates XP on the ammount of damage you give to an NME not if you kill him/her. This is one thing to stop frag stealers… and also a way round /kill to stop XP for peeps. o_O

IIRC half these users that posted about this also argued about /kill’n being lame and yet even tho something was implemented to sort it they have no idea? :slight_smile:

Yeah give me the means of preventing /kill over the slight (EXTREMELY slight) possibility of higher XP.
It’ll be cool when these settings become widespread though - dim n00bs will still /kill, you’ll still get the XP, and survive more combats. Way to go :slight_smile:

Anyway, to keep on topic, we just need to get more ETPro servers to use this setting - I think by default it’s off? And many server admins don’t tweak too much, they just use ETPro for the bugfixes / stability side. So alert your server admin today!

Trust me… we ALL hate it… happen me like 10 mins ago :confused:

Same thing with if you are an engineer… and in a firefight you get an landmine kill… you stop shooting ;/

ok here’s my official guess:

  • light weapons kill = 3 points —> in standard et mod

  • in et pro —> u get 1 point for taking 1/3rd of nme’s health
    —> so u shoot a guy, take 2/3rd of his health, get 2 points and he’s still alive (to kill u
    cause u stopped shootin’, lol) :???:

  • headshots are 5 points (when kill), and 1 or 2 points when taking e.g. 1/3rd of nme’s
    health

—> so the best thingie is: u could get light weapons lvl 4 without killing a guy!!! :clap:

I really think people who bitch about the new system are not aware of the issue it’s supposed to fix.
I just hope it gets adopted widely, because it’s a better system overall easily.
Anyone who complains because they get 90% headshot kills and the XP they get will drop is either lying (in which case it doesn’t matter) or is telling the truth (in which case they get XP so darned quick it’ll make sod all difference anyway).
