Level Up rewards ingame?

(Jostabeere) #1

I read a thread about level up rewards. People spoke about 12k money or a case. Was this changed or why don’t I get any rewards for level 5 and 6?

(Ardez1) #2

You get a case for every level after level 4 or 5 I think. By the time you hit level six you will have earned 24,000 credits and 4 cases(for leveling). You would have additional cases for end game rewards as well.

The devs didn’t want to reward leveling up for the sake of reward and only wanted to use the levels to show XP in game. That is why you only get 1 case per level up. They still wanted to help the new players experience so they give most of what you need towards getting a 30k merc.

So is this a bug? I got one on 3 and 4. But 5 gave me nothing and 6 either!

(Ardez1) #4

Maybe, but beware as you may have received it without realizing it. It isn’t like it screams at you that you got a case for leveling up. All it says is that you have received a case. No reason given.

You get 12K at level 2 and 4. Other levels give you a case.

So if I read it right xp is kinda useless except for showing you played a lot (which u are not rewarded for)?
Its not like you level up everyday.
Im not asking for huge amounts of gold or cases but like in other games give 1k ingame gold every 5 levels or something.
For example:
lvl 10 => 1 case and 1000 gold
lvl 15 => 1 case and 2000 gold
lvl 20 => 1 case and 3000 gold
lvl 25 => 1 case and 4000 gold
lvl 30 => 1 case and 5000 gold
lvl 40 => 1 case and 5000 gold
lvl 45 => 1 case and 5000 gold
lvl 50 => 2 cases and 10000 gold
lvl 55 => 1 case and 5000 gold
.
.
.
lvl 100 => 5 cases and 10000 gold

Something like this would also give ppl incentive to play more just to get that level up.

If they go with that hopefully it’s retroactive as I’m about to hit 30 and I wouldn’t mind a giant mess of money thrown at me. Which, oddly, reminds me of some weekends I’ve had :slight_smile:

I’m pretty sure F8|Hardup is at level 44 as of last night. Not sure where he is now.

(ShoNailo) #9

That’s a lot of Lead Loadouts!

(Cappe) #10

I guess they would never add something like this cause it would make people spend less real money on the game.

(MuhQ) #11

Yep more level up prices are needed really, maybe elite cases, boosters and a little bit cash.

(camouflageMixer) #12

Leveling is kinda pointless just show’s how much experience you have…

(Runeforce) #13

Give elite cases instead of normal each lvl after 10.

(Szakalot) #14

or at least every 5 lvl or sth.

Or a merc-case, where you pick which character the card is for.

(Derpfestor) #15

Leveling rewards imo are what encourages players to keep playing, if there are no real rewards when you level up, what’s the point of playing you aren’t rewarded?

(Ghosthree3) #16

I hate that people feel that way now, arena shooters of old - which this is based on or so I believe - never had levels at all and people didn’t stop playing those. They kept playing because the gameplay is great, which is awesome.

You play because the game is entertaining and challenging. How about that? God knows how games got to this stage without the constant affirmation of unlocks and ‘rewards’.

Someone should create an Unlock Simulator where all you do is spam buttons until you unlock something shiny and the ‘player’ gets that short burst of endorphins. You’ll make millions.

Now we just need a Dirty Bomb version of the CS:GO case simulator http://convars.com/case/ :smiley:

Then why put levels to begin with? If there is a levelling system but no rewards, what’s the point of it besides “keeping track of experience”? I hardly see that as a good reason.
