Exactly this. In my first game I put up a fairly ridiculous score overall and I hit level 4. Hitting 5 only took a couple more games. Hitting 6 though took quite some time after that and I’m still only partway through 6 after playing around 4 hours. So it does take a bit to get to 7 but it’s not unrealistic at all. And the people who really know how to play will get their quickly and the ones who need to learn before they do ranked will spend enough time learning.

Why aren’t we allowed to play with friends from start ? Why should we wait for level 7 to be able to make some games with only our pals ? I really don’t get it. This is perfectly understantable for the “competitive matchmaking”, but not for the friend to friend matchmaking.

Seems fine to me personally.

The amount of level 5-6 people who I still see who don’t seem to understand certain objectives and concepts in the game (Like running with your knife out, walljumping) makes me kind of glad that people will have to get plenty of games under their belt before they get into matchmaking.

There really should be a casual matchmaking mode that lets you queue up with friends. Sure, that’s what the pub servers are for but sometimes you want to try out 5v5 without it being serious while playing with friends.

Currently it may seem like it takes too long, but after playing a while it may seem a more plausible level. As for those who have already reached level 7, obviously the queue time will be long, not everyone (myself included) has had the time to play in-depth sessions as you have. Med school is no joke :smiley:

Albeit, yes, level 6 would probably be the best decision. I do feel the level restriction is necessary though.
