Level 14 after 1 day?? :(

to be “decked out” in a sense, you need 5 level 20s;

1 specialized medic
1 specialized engi
1 specialized ops
1 specialized soldier
1 jack of all trades

Add the skill point up, to have a “specialized something” you need 20 levels, not more, (including passive general abilities)
I think this game will ok for around a month, but then what? if it is possible to rank up to lvl 14 in 7 hours and it only goes to 20… seems the excitement of that new weapon or unlock is well gone.

With no pop up achievements like cod (dare I say it) I always enjoy knowing i will unlock something else the more I play, you can unlock everything in 12 hours :frowning: that sucks.

I cant see the game lasting long, and I like Brink (for now)

Thoughts?
Ha
You think it won’t take long to rank up your wrong

The best use of levels/unlocks is to slowly introduce you to the intricacies of a complex game. I think the rate at which brink introduces you is good, and might even be a little too fast.

I just hate having to do it all again for a new character :\

But once you unlock all the guns/gun attachments and clothing they are unlocked for every character you make, you only have to do it once and everything else is up to you. Personally I plan to have all 10 slots filled, 4 each side either by class or hybrids of two classes (heavy medic/engie, light op/soldier, med soldier/medic, med engie/op) each and 1 overall "leader"for each. Lol just excited about making them all look the part and get a theme going with a clan.

Dont see why many people complained about the 10slots because of the fact that you can change 1 character to be every body type, class and faction as well as reset abilities but honestly who wants to do all that everytime they want a diff kind of player when you can pre set 10 totally unique players to whatever styles you wish and change to the push of a button.

What Apoc said:

I believe that the intial idea is to condition players to team oriented play.

You get the most xp by supporting your teammates, and if enough people do this, the mentality of the gameplay will be more team oriented; even after reaching level 20.

Why would a medic at level 20 focus solely on their kill count, if reaching that level makes him such a potent healing machine?
