Lets hope RTCW2 does one thing.

When ET came out allot of people in the RTCW community never greated it with open arms, it even took me a while before i converted.

When RTCW2 comes out, i hope it will bring all the players back together again.

(EB) #2

let’s hope they all don’t kiss like that though…hehehee. Unless they want to, some might. :drink: I’ll be sticking to the beer cheer.

RTCW2 in unites the ‘scene’ shocker!

(Cerebrate) #4

I hope RTCW 2 will help everyone act out their suppressed homosexual feelings for one another.

(EB) #5

LMAO…

(carnage) #6

my god what have we done!

(jtiger) #7

LOL

(blushing_bride) #8

on a serious note i hope RTCW2 is more like ET then RTCW.

(carnage) #9

i dont share this view but to want it to be more like rtcw ither

ET and rtcw have almost the same character system weapons etc so that aspect of the game is very similar, the thing that sets apart rtcw from ET is the levels rtcw has the confined rooms coridoor indoor style maps where as all ET maps have significant outdoor areas and even the outdoor areas in rtcw are smaller and more man made than natural terain

i would like to see that the level desighers make a variety of levels some ET style some rtcw and some inbetween

also i would like to see some brand new original ideas bought in, rtcw/et maye be good but i dont want to play the same game all my life

(Sauron|EFG) #10

There’s a good mix of in- and outdoor areas in RtCW maps and (if you include custom maps) in ET. The thing that sets the games apart is the weapons (SMG rate of fire, the weaker sniper and panzer in ET and the rifle nade) and the XP system.

People from both camps will bitch about RtCW2 regardless of how it turns out. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Personally I just hope they include good antilag/netcode from the start. :))

(carnage) #11

you can argue about rates of fire but its sutch a small change its hardly significant compared to ET to doom3… XP system is just an extension on weapons and abilites from rtcw

this isnt suprising as ET was initialy going to be the rtcw sequil

edit/ ther is a mix of maps but take the rtcw where u steel the gold from the crypt its outdoor but still there are no areas to match the size of ET’s and they are quare defined by buildings. ET has nice flowing landscapes

(Sauron|EFG) #12

Lol, why compare ET with D3?

The changed weapons is a big deal. Sure the maps are very different as well, but there’s a reason the converted RtCW maps doesn’t play the same on ET.

(Zombie13) #13

Has everyone forgotten about the RTCW2 SP portion? (which I hope they do)

Z

(DarkangelUK) #14

Has everyone forgotten about the other RTCW2 threads that all say the exact same things?

(Zombie13) #15

Aye I agree to that :drink:

Z

(PH@TIE) #16

Lets hope RtCW2 doesn’t spawn a rampage of RtCW3 threads.

(Nail) #17

nah, it’ll be ET2 next up for speculation
:nag:

(kat) #18

Has everyone forgotten about the RTCW2 SP portion? (which I hope they do)

Z

They always do. sigh

As for the topic… are you mad… everyone all but jumped ship when ET came out. I would say that was pretty much accepting ET with open arms wouldn’t you?..!! :poke:

(Cerebrate) #19

Let’s just hope that RTCW 2 does more than one thing, ok? :stuck_out_tongue:

(ouroboro) #20

i’m with sauron, as long as the game has flawless netcode AND hit-detection, i won’t care if it involves me running around in a bunny suit shooting foxes with rocket-propelled carrots. as long as it’s as utterly addicting as the previous wolfenstein games, i’ll be happy.

that’s why i don’t play the new source games from valve online - they are absolute, total lottery. but aside from shots not landing where i aim in a first person shooter, the new counterstrike is great .

basically, get the etpro team to lend their expertise as far as b_antilag and b_realhead goes, then let SD work their magic with the gameplay and content. sounds like a winning formula to me
