Then stuff would get repeated…
Stick with this one.
(Not that there is stuff in this thread that is being repeatedly flogged to death)
Let's discuss ways to annoy other players.
its gonna get repeated one way or another no one is gonna read 5 pages of posts.
Well, if it is going to get repeated one way or another, best to keep it in the same thread then, no?
The game is actually realllly limited anyway… repetition of what makes it fun or frustrating is A-OK with me
Where to start?
-
Dont you just love it when someone shoves you into the line of fire and keeps hiding like a freakin idgit?
-
What about when you ARE a field ops and your teammates are screamin “I NEED AMMO”" I NEED AMMO" even before they get out of the spawn and the entire time they’re playing. Find it yourself!
-
Also, I just love it when someone shoots you because they want ammo or med packs. I used to jack em every time they did that, I have a bit more patience for retards now, though.
-
I’ve gotten used to jacking a few people and dying, ultimately ending up with a 1-1 ratio because I have absolutely no support the entire time.
-
RAMBO MEDS! UGH! Get a real class or do your job. ^^
There are many, many, many, many, many, many others also… I’ll post later. XD
The most funny one was on radar as axis.
I was sniping on the bridge at the main entrance. I had proned back towards the axis spawn so I could just see the whole door area but expose less of myself. Suddenly, some guy comes running over the bridge, and stands still in front of me. I can’t remember if I could really see him or if I saw through him, but he stayed in my line of fire and eventually died…
TK. Flying your aircraft into them so it shows up as their team kill is always a really good way.
Here’s an odd one.
Go onto a server as an admin. Tinker with the game’s settings so that selected players or a whole team suddenly find they are looking at everything upside down and their mouse works the opposite way around to the way it should (affected players are easy to spot because their heads are bent down to their chests and twisted around 180 degrees)…
Hehe, in Tribes I ran a little server to test my mod and maps, but it had like 16 people playing at certain times. During one of these times, I opened the editor which is ingame. The Tribes editor ruled - even during play on a server you could make map changes, drag things around, and even pickup and move players - all with your mouse in an editor enviroment, and it was all in real time so you saw them moving around.
Well Tribes is CTF, so a guy would come flying in to grab the flag and I would have it on my mouse cursor and just nudge it out of his way
In Tribes momentum is everything and you cant stop or change direction quickly - especially a capper, and these guys would practice 4 hours a day just running routes to get them the fastest.
So anyway, I only did it to one guy the whole map and he was like “wtf… the freaking flag is moving I swear!”
Other people were like “yea right noob” and he was fuming
The next map I started moving the big stationary turrets around and following people so the joke was revealed. Good times.
I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I HATE it when I get panzer TKd.
It’s a effin FF server, so watch where you aim the boom stick. Or at least wait for the enemy to down me first and then exact your revenge upon him.
It’s just so inconsiderate.

My calculations tell me the next revival of this thread is scheduled somewhere around the beginning of april 2007
I didn’t read all the pages, but did someone mention Revive interrupting?
You know how when your low health a teammate medic will tk you and revive for the added health from reviving? I swear some medics wait to do this until an enemy appears… you start to shoot and BAM! your medic teamkills you, revives you, and then an enemy is running around while you got turned around.
Now if you would do that on purpose every time, it would be annoying
It also sucks a lot when a medic tk/revives you while you’re planting or disarming mines.
TK/Revive is the disgusting trick which encourages me to play (mostly) Strogg in ET:QW.
