Let's be honest, the battery map is extremely bias

I can’t deny how much fun that map is as Axis, but still I feel the need to point out that although the map is incredibly awesome…it is equally bias.

The map offers almost no chance for allied forces. Axis has great places to snipe the opponents that are pretty much stranded on the beach. For example, Axis can easily be in the water within a few hops, once they get behind the rocks they can snipe with virtually no chance of being killed until they run out of ammo.

Axis has tons of bunker space, MGs, cover, and oppertunity spots.

Who else thinks this map is just way over-bias to Axis?

I’ve had experiences on both ends of the spectrum here. When XP start at 0, the allies can make a very quick rush to the ramp, build it, and get over the top before the axis really get set. In those instances, the allies push thru the initial D, take the flag, and are into the base to meet the axis respawns coming down the stairs and can win in a pretty short time.

If the axis really get set, especially at higher xp levels, then it becomes very tough because it’s simply too easy to toss satchel charges, airstrikes, artillery, and panzer rounds into a very narrow chokepoint.

Then again, this is one of my arguments for running objective or stopwatch mode. At least in Stopwatch, both teams get to try and set then beat the clock

I think it’s too early to judge : Whereas the people stated that Fueldump was either Allies or Axis biased , imo, it’s balanced : It’s just ‘differently’ balanced then ‘yer normal old fps-games’

Axis has a shorter distance to the ramp than the allies, and it has the huge advantage of being a downhill travel.

Downhill = trickjumping, which lets you travel a good 4 times faster than the opponent :).

the fact the assault ramp can be blown with a satchel makes it biased towards axis.

of course, there’s always the long way round…

You need only one (disguised) covert ops to destroy the generator. Then let an engineer build the command post and then change your spawn point to the command post. So you can attack from two sides.

I think players dont use to sett their spawn point enough, because within RtCW you had less options for that.

I was wondering, is the Allied spawn bugged on that map? It seems like since there’s two inflatable boats pulled up on the shore that Allies would spawn in both locations, but they all spawn in the water to the West. Also once we, Allies, claimed the forward bunker flag, my team and I still spawned down on the beach. The map really does seem pretty rediculous for Allies.

You have to set your spanw manually in the command map.

I think once you get some decent teamwork going, it won’t be a problem. without that, yes, it can be a slaughterhouse.

I also thought it was biased at first, but now I am not so sure. It is definitely difficult for the allies to get over the ramp and take full control of the spawn point. Once that is done however, I do not think it is overly difficult for an engineer to get in and destroy the gun, especially if the generator is destroyed.

It has a definite ‘feel’ of being bias, but I’ve been involved on more than one successful invasion. It requires teamwork and a good panzerfaust.

allies can get covert ops and open the back door… blow up the generator and let everyone in!

it’s actually in the allies favor. but no one know’s how to really play this game :wink:

tougher when the axis know what to do and NEVER go onto the beach

I think it feels sort of biased, but you get a half-hour to beat the map; so getting held up at the beach for 10-15 minutes might be frustrating, but it’s all a part of the game.

i dont think covert should be able to blow the ramp, 2 coverts can pretty my sit up there and blow it everytime allies get thru. the spawn point should auto change, when u have the bunker flag all the ppl who r new stil spawn on the beach and end up losing the flag. Axis spawn time should be much longer until allies take the flag.
