Lag pause connection interupted, frequent problem, please help!

Hi, I own an HP athlon 64 x2, 6 gig of memory. When I play ET I get a long (about 10 seconds or more) Lag pause, where it says connection interrupted. This happens every 5 to 10 minutes while playing. Ive played ET on this computer before and it was never a problem! I tried reinstalling my OS and reinstalling the game, neither worked.
Please someone helpme Im desperate to get my ET Playing back to normal! :frowning:
Ive read other lag threads, and tried some solutions but none have worked.

Router issues I’d say, similar to mine. Nothing yet that I have solved :confused:

Run ping -t server IP for like 300 -500 packets and see if you are getting packet loss or not.

There is no such cvar.

To the OP: Are you running Vista and using wlan?

wlan = wireless network

If you do, turn off “wireless zero configuration” service while you play.

am not using wireless
updated my network adapter driver, still getting the same problem!!! >:^(
