DansGuardian is a branch of PfSense that’s easy to use, setup, and maintain. Can block pr0n, weighted phrase limits, etc, it does it all. It also has a military level firewall behind it. I was using it and maintaining it with my own father until internet wireless standards updated and they didn’t update the software. It requires a dedicated computer to run it though, so not a light headache in some respects.

Also, “Mrs. Viruses don’t exist” is a very funny and apt explanation, sorry to hear that. :neutral:

However, I understand the measures you’ve taken, and understand wanting to make sure things last as long as possible. Furthermore, turns out SpyBot is a different spy searcher program, I was confusing it with SUPERAntiSpyware. Go figure.
EDIT: SuperAntiSpyware also got updated this year… after not being updated several times for periods as large as six months. Huh.
