I’m sure that an insult that harsh can only be concocted by a genius such as yourself. I guess youve never heard of a dynamite kill, wich would in theory give you light weapons and engie skill. Everyone just needs to calm down. Emotions are running high and tempers are flaring. What we all need to remember here is that it is not eachother that we are fighting, nay, this is a war on drugs. Ecstacy usage is at an all time high in this country and unless we do something, the use of such hallucinogens will reach pandemic proportions. So it doesnt matter if you slash kill dont slash kill, what matters is that you play wolfesnstein with a clear head and a clean system. If we can accomplish that, then what do we truely have to live for? Ahhh…who cares, im going to go put a shot gun in my mouth and play /kill the home game.

This is what i’m going to implement in my mod -

no /kill delay on max health.
delay of 1-2 seconds around critical health.

Still a feature not under work, but this is something i believe should be implemented. (and i’m not going to wait for something else to do it =] )

I still think you should give 3XP to the guy who landed the last hit if someone /kills. If they ain’t in a firefight, not a problem, but if they are… Regular kills XP is awarded to the person who fires the bullet that kills them, so the XP should go to the person who hit them last. At least it’s the same both ways.

so if you /kill you go into limbo for 3 seconds be4 you can tap out? and your body is still killable when in limbo and if its killed in limbo by someone they get xp?

I think that’s the gist of it. But what happens when a Med tries to revive you? I say, they miss the next spawn. That’ll teach them. Or if they do it, reset their computer.

Sorry for the :bump: on this one but its still a very valid argument.

I think those people concentrating on XP are losing the real point of this. Simply put using /kill in a firefight to avoid being killed by your opponent is lame - full stop. Two suggestons shown here spring out as good ideas - a short delay before going into limbo so that those in a firefight cant avoid any death inevtability - and the other one (imo the best option) using /kill will not take effect until the next spawn deployment. Both options mean the opponent gets their chance of killing them (and getting their precious XP!). Think these should only be for publics though… :drink:

take some XP’s from someone that /kill himself.
Should be more then his opponent would get for the kill.
May be 5 to 10.

Bani is going to make /kill count as a death rather than a suicide in ETPro. Most Clan players use /kill to inflate their stats rather than deny an opponent XP (who gives a shit about XP anymore anyway?). Making a /kill a death will do more to stop people using it in a firefight than anything to do with XP.

How you tackle it on publics though I don’t know (or care tbh).

Wasn’t it banimod that had built-in camper protection for RtCW? I don’t ever remember getting it to work properly, but if there’s a way to track the habit’s of a camper, could there be a reliable way to monitor the habits of a player using /kill in a firefight?

for those who played Shrub RtCW and used the poison needle, I think a /kill like that would be a good idea.

just drains your health until you’re dead. (so ppl shooting at you still have a chance to kill you with lead)
