Keyboard lag.

lately i have been experiencing keyboard lag in et. if i let go of the keys, i still move around ingame, and i can look around with my mouse, but i can not shoot or reload or anything, it usually lasts for a second or so. how can i fix this?

if u use heavy scripting…it can happen. When a load of commands are launched in a serie…then u cant move

i barely use any scripts. only for class selection and team selection

no its not just lag. my ping is good and everything else workst fine too, just the movement is stuck and i cant use any weapons :S.
it came very sudden, and i had it before but dunno when it went away. it was when i used ventrilo a while ago, but i dont have it running now and still have it.

i get this, do sometimes it like freezes and sometimes keys dont work, like you cannot fire your weapon? i get this someimes, and its nothing to do with my lag or FPS there both fine

i used to get it where my connection would lag and i would die, not knowing how i died id skim over the console and no-one woulda killed me i would just come out of the lag waiting for a medic. on other accasions i would lag out and the weapon i was using wouldnt change or fire and /kill was only alternative, i cant help u at all, but maybe it is ur laag or maybe it is cause ET isnt for the dutch :smiley:

That used to happen to me a lot :confused:
But then ETpro 3.0.x came out and now I just lag all the time…

Spikes, packet loss is most likely the culprit. That’s the main reason why I stopped playing

:o i got a 2mbit conn so thats not the problem. i get no lag or anything. my lagmeter is just as normal.

my pc shouldnt be a problem either:
AMD 2800+
1024 DDR Ram
Radeon 9600XT
Microsoft Natural Elite keyboard

i also opened up my keyboard and took out loads of bread and hairs and other stuff but that didnt help either :<. im now trying to shut down all backgroundprogams and see if that helps :o
