Keep getting kicked with multiple machines on one network

k hers the deal i run a LAN… have LAN parties and we all hop on a server on the net but keep getting kicked after a little while on excpet for the first machine to hop on the server all others keep getting botted after like 10 mins. and this is even on servers not running PB.

I get inelagable server message or command or something like that …

or the server will not let me on says invalid cd key…

so wassup with this ?

U know i made this post days ago… Are u guys going to look at this or am i too just unistall it off my network and stop playing it becuase u basicly can’t on lans connected to the internet anyways…

I am sure the team will look into ASAP, I think at the moment they are really caught up by the problems linux servers are having, and the overflow message, basiclly all the problems that make server crashes.

You need to assign each client to a different port.
Make a file called etconfig.cfg in the profile dir. , and add this line:
set net_port 2766x

Replace the x with a number offcourse, and do this on every client.
I always use this range, but you can also use other values.

also for the invalid cd error bring down the console in the game(not connected to server) by hitting the “~” key and type /PB_cdkeyreg that will request a new cd key from the master guid server. Works for every person I have told to do it. Good luck and post your results here.

You could also add “+set net_port 2796x” to ET’s shortcut command line, if you don’t use a third-party server browser. From day one of the CD issue, I had everyone in =HK= set their etkey file to “read only.” I noticed that it would have the key one time, and then it would get deleted for whatever reason.
