K121 discussion.

More to come if desired. Still fine-tuning my recording settings so it doesn’t look so potato-esque.

But seriously, the K121 is perfectly fine; My friends actually joked about how I consistently showed them it was fine after they said it sucked, only for it to get buffed (very lightly) in the last patch.

the only change i’d like to see on that lmg is only how fast the spread begins. because it’s perfect to kill one but it would be much better if it could spray a little more.
and i’ve done far better things with k121 then what you show.

K-121 needs a massive spread buff. It’s a GPMG for crying out loud.

The K-121 lets you chew through 2/3 kills in a single reload. Only other person who can do that is Rhino, and he doesn’t get nades -

Those videos show that despite people crying about the K121, it works more than fine.

I didn’t record those to make some montage of K121 awesomeness, I was configuring my streaming/recording settings and remembered there were babies crying on the forums about how the K121 had too much spread, not enough damage, etc. etc. so I uploaded the parts I recorded that had K1 use.

You’ve gone from completely misunderstanding the K121 to accepting that it’s pretty damned good, but you still want to talk smack.

And to good use. Dot crosshair is a placebo crutch that can return negative results without spread awareness.

i will not stand here and explain you that my opinion isnt ‘’ crying ‘’ or ‘‘talking smack’’ because i dont want to start a flame war unlike you.
your videos showed nothing i could upload for you a video of me pwning with the k121 level 20-30 in a competitive match, that would be more solid proof.
what we are arguing about is the spread of the k121 which starts too soon it’s not something you can deny it’s a FACT

try track someone with k121 from close/medium range you’ll miss a lot of shots meanwhile with m4 you hit all of em, and even at close range. it has a huge spread and recoil and hasnt got much precision.
m4 is a better weapon in all situations
[/quote]

Won’t agree with you there and other higher up players won’t either. The K121 was preferred when DB launched because it’s just a beast. Even after the nerfs (accuracy, belt size, reload speed and a nerf to drilled) it’s still a beast. The competitive meta shift to the M4 has more to do with Unshakeable than the M4 being a better gun. The M4 is great and not dying to a grenade from the other teams fragger/nader is even better. So M4 it is. K121 still has that giant belt with 50 rounds and you can kill 4-5 people in that belt compared to the M4 maybe getting 3 in a mag.

The M4 is pretty great. The K121 is pretty great. But not dying to a nade always trumps dying to one…so M4 it is for serious play. But for pub play you really can’t go wrong with either. Some will prefer the laser of the M4 and others will prefer the killing power of the k121.

But I’d always take a free buff to the K121

meanwhile you have a 3.5 seconds reload with this “big mag” and you cant even spray your “big mag” so what is the point of having 50 rounds if most of the bullets go anywhere which is a fact that after a little bit you shoot the bullets start going anywhere.

You make it sound like the LMG is not accurate. It’s crazy accurate when you know how to fire it. Sounds like you actually need to go use the thing for a while. It’s one of the harder guns to get used to at first as it fires different than the rest and you’ll use very quick bursts of ADS when using it as well.

In comp if you roll over 3-4 guys in one belt without having to reload you have won that exchange.

If you hold down the fire button like many do with the M4 (dumb but people do it) while using the K121 you’ll notice a severe dropoff in accuracy around bullet 8-10. But if you stagger your firing and throw in some ADS when the situation calls for it (not being shot at) for a quick second you will be ridiculously accurate.

Again, I’d take a free buff. But your logic as to why the M4 is “better” isn’t quite correct. Again, the shift for comp players over to the M4 had to do with Unshakeable as opposed to the M4 being better.

i made 2 videos showing its spread
this is the close range:

and this is medium range:

note that i was controlling the recoil

(Gi.Am) #31

The K121 has the lowest spread increase of all AR class weapons (best accuracy stats per loadout card).

What is throwing you off is the magazin size. Ofcourse if you shoot through the whole box in one go the spread will spiral out of control by the end. But the spread for the first 10-20 shots is the same as that of an M4 (which has slightly stronger spread increase). The K121 has however more recoil, which means more work to stay on target.

That makes the K121 a good candidate for ADS and burstfiring control your shots don’t waste ammunition switching targets and the both the box and accuracy will be good for several encounters.

Also I recommend Loadoutcards with drilled on the K121 ^^.

(Gi.Am) #35

@RecurveZ Tnx for calling me out. I did some tests to prove my point and it seems like the K121 has indeed more spread increase than an M4, given the same amount of bullets. That puts a large dent in my theory what the accuracy and stability stats represent (Tho still recon that stability is random recoil ontop of vertical climb). So back to the drawing board.

honestly i can play the k121 perfectly since i play it.
but every player uses m4 so i thought they should give some love to k121 and make it some how equal to m4 in some way not the same gun but something that could be as fun or as good as m4

(watsyurdeal) #37

It’s already fine compared to the M4, it has more spread so it discourages spraying, but hits way harder so if you have good aim with it you can take out people with ease.

Fire in small 1-2 shots bursts and the K 121 is a beast to be reckoned with.

firing 1-2 shots will not take you anywhere trust me i use it everytime since i use basically only fragger.
and plus it’s some random spread it isnt something you can control somehow it’s totally useless spread of bullets.

You are trying to compare how one gun is better than another in a vacuum. Where I am comparing them based on actual usage and optimal firing. There is a rather large difference between the two.

The K121 will never be fired like that by anybody who knows how to fire the K121. So your demonstration means very little unless we are specifically talking about spread over the entirety of a belt/clip/mag between the guns. Which we were not unless you confused me with somebody else when quoting my post.

how come i mostly spray it, and it works but some of the bullets just go anywhere.
and THOSE videos were just a representation of the spread of the gun.
and it’s still a comparision .
