it was great to meet you guys. hope to see you next year at qcon! keep it up.
the ET part of the tourney was in my opinion, some of the most fun things i got to do - and had the least ammount of cvar issues- and best attitudes.

congrats.

So you are saying that there was cheating at QCON? What game? I realy hope you are not referring to one so called instance of cheating (by dumbwits) I know about!!!
yeah… there were some folks who tried to gain advantages with cvars and what not - however they were VERY few and far inbetween… trust me when i say that as i can count those people on one hand - out of 2,000 people… i think like just one or two… but the attitudes of the games were distinct… very distinct.
but thats why we helped out and why qcon has officials who watch people to make sure it doesnt happen. you should have seen the level of intensity. it was amazing - and wonderful.
so dont get the wrong idea. the event is clean and more importantly fun. however, when you get folks competing for 20k, you gotta watch - and it was wonderful to see the attitudes and spirit of the ET players.

Ok seeing as you didnt see that one whats your opinion on one player on a team using a wrong cvar \errordecay 0 when it should be 100? This was an accident and an admin was told.
Then the player told the admin his FPS was stcuk at 64 admin restarted it.
But then discovered the cvar \errordecay was 0 again but played on.
Even though this cvar doesnt effect anything
Opposition team clamined it was a wall hack etc etc. Result of it the european team that had spent in eccess of £1000 each to go to Quakecon were forced to forfeit the match that they won!
i didnt see that particular incident so i really cannot comment other that to say that i always fall back to what the admins decide. it is their tournament. pb is simply a tool to help admins run their servers/events.
did this happen this year? i didnt hear about this incident.
either way, i would hope that people come to qcon for the fun and the chance to participate. i know i loved meeting many of the folks from across the world. many, many folks from different countries there all having a good time and enjoying them selves.
wow, what fun and excitment!
Yeah this year in RTCW! Some troubled attitudes in that comp realy from what I saw!
But here is a link to what I was talking about http://www.planet-rtcw.com/?page=news&id=332
