I think Perfect Dark Zero had a mode like that. Every 3-5 minutes a new type of multiplayer game would begin. First it was capture the flag, then it was TDM, then it was an escort mission, etc all in the same game/match. Kept things kinda fresh.
just let me shoot people
On that note: Killzone 3 has the revolving objectives mode. I really really like that game too. Wish I had more friends on PSN. Most of my RL friends are on XBL.
KZ3 map pack came out this weekend I think, I need to DL that.
i could not believe my eyes when i read this ability for the first time in-game.
i would actually enjoy brink more if it were tdm and did away with objectives. both enemy territory titles cover objective gameplay much better.

Actually its the one and only PLAYER ability. Any kind of additional awarness is still a char ability, but 3rd Person view is Player only.
Yes, I thought so, I only wanted to point out the somehow ridiculousness of this ab. Its like team chat would be an ability. Or the freedom of confguring the key commands would be an ability.
why does everyone bring up COD when referring to death match? it wasnt the first to have death match and won’t be the last, death match has been in tons of games and is pretty much always successful and there successful because its simple and fun, im not saying objective game play isnt fun… but it will get boring and death match is like a stress relief.
whether you want to believe it or not brink is dead, or at least close, a death match mode might give it a bit more life at least.
Lets face it, objective game play can get really stagnant (Run here, then there and defend this thing) after x amount of rounds everyone just automatically does the same thing, because sooner or later people find the easiest way and then stick to it.
Death match would hurt no one, And I don’t see why people have to irrationaly protest anything related to death match, Not all people who play death match are 13 year old COD players who- Well you know the stereotype, I for one like death match because i can just play, I dont have to worry about anything else, I can come home from working with dickheads all day and turn my brain off and just play, no objectives or having to worry about dickhead team mates.
yes. i couldnt agree more.
i didnt care that brinks playerbase gets smaller and smaller, but right now the servers with players on go down and down.
thats not random. it has reasons. i think the reasons are mentioned here multiple times. minor bugs, imbalance, frustration, repetition. lets do something about it.
lets fix those asap. cut the class design, cut the player and objective interaction, add game mode. the maps are there and well designed for deathmatch. team deathmatch might be difficult actually. could also result in spawn raping and choke point camping. we have the weapons, we have the player movement.
take the things that work and get rid of the stuff that dont. and you might have a game that probably attracts new players or players that went off, because of the issues brink currently has.
the dlc wont bring that much fresh air into the game that the issues we have are fixed. the balance is still a very big issue and will result in more and more people dont come back to the game.
do you want to spawn raped for the x th time on map xy? do you want to fight with useless bots against a team full of humans? … …
i dont. i just want to run around and shoot people.
