Etnies, quite a lot of generalizations. How long have you been playing ET, a couple months? Did you ever think that the customs that you have put on your server is the reason why people are disconnecting or perhaps the attitude of the players there? Why would anyone want to go play in a server that’s running standard maps and customs that you can play just about anywhere?

Venice and Caen are great maps, but there are tons of servers that are running them. Supplydepot2 and other competition maps usually aren’t good draws to a server, unless it’s for clan matches. You do realize that there are over 700 maps out for Enemy Territory and most people, including “pros” don’t want to play the same maps over and over again. Why would they? I’ve been playing for about 2 years now, other than competition, I usually play fueldump only servers or customs (with a handful of originals thrown in). I’ve played over 200 maps and I’m far from a nOOb (especially after I upgrade this comp…:wink: ). You have to give people a reason to play on your server, something that sets you apart from the masses, otherwise they won’t come.

almost all noobs want to play fueldump and goldrush, which they can actually go engi and do something and not have to download a map , the uber players dont want to be playing some shitty customs either they stick to standards, its those people in the middle that want to play on custom map servers all day, and spend most of their time playing been redirected to a a website or downloading from server at a slow speed, and Code, been playing since it came out also, i run a 6map and most of the time server is full… orignals will always draw a bigger crowd. imo.
